This tree has been dealt with and only a stem section and attached root plate are left on site. Next to the above tree, around 50cm away is another single stem conifer tree which is still upstanding. The client would like to remove the remaining tree on the grounds of safety, due to the imminent risk it presents, and likely failure that the tree will experience in future winds. The disturbance caused by the failed conifer has meant that a large root plate has been displaced from the ground directly next to, in very close proximity to the remaining tree, this has caused greater instability to the remaining tree and diminished its ability to anchor into the ground as effectively as there is a lack of side pressure on one side of the root plate. The soil in the left hand side border upon inspection was loose in nature also. Additionally on inspection of the area surrounding the standing tree, a fence post directly behind the remaining conifer has buckled upwards and part of the concrete it is set in has lifted. The remaining tree operated as a pair with the failed tree, the remaining tree stands alone now, which has left a cross section through the crown with a larger surface area which is likely to catch the wind, and interfere with the trees ability to dissipate forces due to the imbalance of lateral limbs on one side predominantly now. It is my view that the remaining tree is unsafe and the root plate compromised. I have assessed the tree as unsafe to climb due to the above, as I do not want to subject it to anymore dynamic loading or additional weight,
