Gutierrez Wins Mile Local masters runner Dr. Orestes Gutierrez of the Bowerman Track Club swept to a hotly contested victory time of 4:42.80, exactly one second ahead of Josh Gordon who finished with a 4:43.80 time. John McKay ran a little less than 5 seconds behind Gutierrez’s time, posting a 4:48.75 time. USA Track & Field (USATF) announced recently that Walnut, CA, will host the 2020 Trials. The 10-day event will be held at the Hilmer Lodge Stadium located on the campus of Mount San Antonio College. USATF, which oversees the Olympic Trials on behalf of the U.S. Olympic Committee (USOC), made the host city decision in collaboration with the USOC. Walnut, a suburb of Los Angeles, was selected as the host city over Eugene (Hayward Field) and Sacramento, CA, (Hornet Stadium on the Sacramento State campus). Hilmer Lodge Stadium will host the 10-day U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Track and Field in 2020.
