WELCOME

Invermere is the business centre of the beautiful Windermere Valley. It is located between the and the Purcell Range close to the headwaters of the in southeastern . The population of 3,000 is supported by tourism, forestry and mining. The Windermere Valley is estimated to have 6,000 full-time residents swelling to 30,000 – 50,000 in the summer months.

Recreational opportunities abound in the Windermere Valley. In the winter months, the area is known for its two ski hills Panorama Mountain Resort and Fairmont Hot Springs Resort. Lake Windermere is also home to the world’s largest skating trail in the world!

In the summer, visitors enjoy access to over a dozen golf courses, watersports on Lake Windermere, hiking, camping, and numerous other recreational opportunities.

On behalf of the Windermere Valley Minor Hockey Association and our Pee Wee Rockies team, we would like to welcome you to the BC Hockey Pee Wee Tier 4 Championships. We are honored to be your host.

Banquet:

Sunday, March 18th, 2018, 5:30pm Quart Ballroom Copper Point Resort 760 Cooper Road, Invermere http://www.copperpointresort.com/

We will be having a pasta, salads, desserts and non-alcohol beverages buffet for $20 per person (gratuity included). Guests must pre-order by sending team cheques made out to WVMHA Box 2848, Invermere, BC, V0A1K0, no later than March 1st, 2018.

Mandatory Coach/Manager Meeting:

Sunday, March 18th, 2018, 7:00pm (following dinner) Quart Ballroom

Tournament Games Begin:

Monday, March 19th, 2018 Eddie Mountain Memorial Arena, 502 – 13th Street, Invermere

Schedule to follow once teams have qualified.

Opening Ceremonies:

Monday, March 19th, 2018 Time: TBD when the schedule is set Eddie Mountain Memorial Arena, 502 – 13th Street, Invermere

All teams are to participate. Please arrive at the arena ½ hour early. The two teams playing immediately following the ceremony should be dressed in full equipment. The remaining teams are asked to wear dress pants and their home jerseys.

Closing Ceremonies:

Friday March 23rd, 2018, immediately following the final game
