I have Canterbury too much fun in what I get to do as a vocation to call it work. I have never dreaded going into Friend. my office or the tasks set before me. In my teenage and college years I had a few “jobs” that were just that, I worked hard doing them to earn money for school or other life expenses. When you bring passion into the mix it moves things forward. Vision, drive, growth is fueled by passion. I get to see this day after day as Canterbury people come on the campus for seminars, conferences and retreats. They walk away renewed Champion. and refueled. Canterbury is important and exists to leverage positive change in this world. To make a 40 Day donation I mentioned Martha Berry in yesterday’s post. She then sent Mr. Ford a letter Coming to thanking him for his generosity and that she had taken his one dollar donation and turned it Canterbury into twenty dollars. Henry Ford was impressed. He made a trip to see Berry and ended up Proof of God funding the Ford Buildings which are a cornerstone of Berry College’s campus. Do you have a passion for something? What moves you, delights you? For some it is serving and giving, for others it is making, fixing or creating something, Steve Brown often quips, If it wasn’t for Jesus and coffee I would not get up in the morning. What gets you out of bed? Life is too short to live without passion. If you are running low I know a place where you can dream, discover, decide, connect, grow and learn. It is a sacred landscape in Oviedo called Canterbury. We have been walking a virtual Canterbury Trail in these 40 days – come take a stroll on the real deal!
