Mrs.Arulselvi, The District Child Protection Officer, No.164, 2nd Floor, M.M.Plaza, Trichy Main Road, Perambalur District - 621 212 ……Respondents Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus or any other Writ or direction in the nature of the Writ, calling for the records relating to the impugned notification of the 2nd Respondent bearing the nomenclature, ‘Pathirikkai Seithi’ dated 24.03.2020 calling for new Recruitments for the posts in the District Child Protection Unit, Perambalur District and consequently direct the Respondents to continue with the Petitioners in the said posts For Petitioner : Mr.T.Gowthaman For Respondents : Mr.A.N.Thambidurai Special Government Pleader O R D E R Permission granted to move this writ petition. 2. Heard Mr.T.Gowthaman, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader who takes notice for the respondents. 3. It is stated that these petitioners are working in their respective posts from 2012 onwards, however with an artificial breakup of one day after every year. It is further stated that there is no complaint against these petitioners. Under such circumstances, the petitioners seek to challenge the notification issued by the second respondent for recruiting persons to the cadre in which the petitioners are working. It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioners that under similar circumstances, in respect of people working at Tiruvannamalai District, this Court has entertained similar writ petition in W.P.No.2680 of 2018 and granted interim protection for those petitioners. He further stated that the interim order granted therein is still in force. 4. Under the above circumstances, the respondents are directed to maintain status quo as on today in pursuant to the impugned notification dated 24.03.2020, till 30.04.2020.
