Programs in Ohio Village If your class is participating in a program in Ohio Village, here are some helpful hints for everyone to remember:

WHAT IS OHIO VILLAGE? The mission of Ohio Village is to engage the senses through interaction with history. Our goal is to share stories and connect communities, fostering an exchange of experiences that are personal and powerful. Ohio Village includes 18 buildings representing a typical small Ohio town from the 19th century, which includes a general store, hotel, toy shop, farm house, a doctor’s home, school house and many more. The village comes to life with interpreters who open their shops and homes to guests, allowing you to get face to face with history, and explore the past in a whole new way.

DRESS FOR THE WEATHER When in Ohio Village most portions of the program take place inside the buildings, but some activities are outside and you will have to move from building to building. Keeping this in mind, we ask everyone to dress for the weather.

COME RAIN OR SHINE Programs in Ohio Village go on rain or shine. Ohio Village programs will only be canceled if there is lightning or other severe weather. Please note that during the school year Ohio Village is only accessible to school groups participating in a program.
