Trained by Hall of Famer , in July Authentic captured the Haskell Stakes (G1) and qualified for the Breeders’ Cup Longines Classic (G1) through the “Win and You’re In” Challenge Series.

• Other potential Breeders’ Cup starters this year are Spielberg in the Juvenile (G1) and Tarantino in the Juvenile Turf (G1). Both are owned in partnerships.

• Starlight, China Horse Club, Head of Plains Partners, and WinStar Farm were the co- owners of 2018 Triple Crown winner Justify, also trained by Bob Baffert. Justify, who was retired after his win in the Belmont (G1) and was undefeated in six career starts, won Eclipse Awards as Champion 3-Year-Old Male and Horse of the Year.

• As sole owner Starlight won the 2004 Distaff (G1) with Ashado, whose victory was sandwiched by her second in the 2003 Juvenile Fillies (G1) and third in the 2005 Distaff. The two-time Eclipse Award winner—2004 champion 3-year-old filly, 2005 champion older female—was a 2014 Hall of Fame inductee.

• Partnered with Coolmore and associates Michael Tabor and Derrick Smith on Shanghai Bobby, undefeated winner of the 2012 Juvenile (G1) en route to the season’s Eclipse Award in the category.

• Was also second in 2006 Juvenile Fillies (G1) with Octave, who was third in the 2007 Distaff.

• In addition to Authentic, this year has campaigned, in partnerships, promising 3-year- olds Charlatan and Eight Rings. Charlatan won a division of the 2020 Arkansas Derby (G1) before being disqualified for a minor medication overage and is currently on the sidelines. Eight Rings, now retired, won the 2019 Stakes (G1) and was sixth in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile last year.

• Longtime racing fans, the Wolfs started Starlight Racing in 2000, when they purchased their first horses – six yearlings – at Fasig-Tipton Kentucky yearling sale, among them Harlan’s Holiday (sire of Shanghai Bobby), who was bought for $97,000 before becoming a multiple Grade 1 winner with career earnings of $3.3 million and a prominent sire.

• Forms partnerships to acquire yearlings at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky, Fasig-Tipton Saratoga, and Keeneland September sales. Occasionally buys into horses that are already at the track.

• Partnerships open each year from June to August and then close in September.

• Retired trainer Frank Brothers is Starlight Racing’s bloodstock agent; his wife, Donna Barton Brothers, a former and now an NBC racing analyst, heads client relations. Elinor Wolf is the marketing and bloodstock assistant and Corbin Blumberg is the racing manager.

• Respected horsemen J. J. Pletcher and Eddie Woods break and puts the foundation into Starlight’s rising stars in Ocala, Florida. Pletcher is the father of Todd Pletcher, one of Starlight’s main trainers.

• Stable has 26 Grade 1 wins.

• Other top horses include the Todd Pletcher-trained Audible, third in the 2018 Kentucky Derby (G1).

• In 2012, Jack orchestrated the launch of Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance (TAA), the industry's first broad-based initiative to help retired Thoroughbreds. Was TAA's first president and is a longtime member of their board of directors.

• Also a past board member of the Thoroughbred Charities of America (TCA) and the Race for Education.

• Was honored with the Warner L. Jones Horseman of the Year Award in 2013.
