All Sweatshirts, Sweatpants, Jackets, Sweaters and Lunchboxes Should Be Clearly Labeled with Your Child’S Name

ST. MATTHEW CATHOLIC SCHOOL UNIFORM POLICY 2017-18

Uniforms may be purchased from Flynn & O’Hara School Uniforms. Contact their local store by calling 704-525-0002 or visiting them at 1730 Abbey Place in the Montford Abbey Shopping Center. Orders may also be placed online at www.flynnohara.com or by calling 1-800-441- 4122. Some uniform items are available at other local retailers. Please remember that all items purchased must meet the guidelines listed below.

On the two days that your child attends physical education classes they will wear their PE uniform to school for the whole day. The PE uniforms are available for purchase from Flynn & O’Hara.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

SHOES: Sneakers, tennis shoes or appropriate dress shoes safe for playground activities. *Sandals, clogs or boots are not allowed. OUTERWEAR: Appropriate jackets and coats may be worn to school or at recess but are not to be worn in the classroom. Spiritwear or sweatshirts from Holy Trinity or Charlotte Catholic are not to be worn in the classroom. JEWELRY: Earrings for girls may not extend below the earlobe. Boys may not wear earrings. Necklaces must be religious style only. Bracelets are not to be worn. This includes novelty or charity bracelets. FITBITS, GIZMOS, APPLE WATCHES, ETC.: These devices may be worn, but if they become a distraction to the student, it can no longer be worn. GENERAL APPEARANCE: No makeup, tattoos or skin art. Boys – Haircuts must keep the hair off the collars and out of the eyes.
