Δ Leppard Tracks Corrigendum... | 1 Δ LEPPARD TRACKS Corrigendum Rev. 7 (3 III 2010) In a work of this scope there is always the possibility (probability) that errors and/or inaccuracies have slipped past my proof-reading and continuous revision. Sometimes, no matter how much work has gone into the research and revision process, shit happens! It is less than amusing (for the author) that any errors and/or omissions may exist, but there we are... P.32 – add: December 21, 1978 – Clifton Hall, Rotherham w/ Bliss **This was the Rotherham College of Technology's Christmas dance, and Def were credited as DEFF/LEPARD. A disco followed. P.44 – add: 03. Rock Brigade [2:44] Rick Savage / Steve Clark / Joe Elliott “Glad I’m Alive” and “Rock Brigade” were also recorded during the Nick Tauber sessions, but remain unreleased/un-leaked (in lossless format at least). The plans to issue “Rock Brigade” and “Wasted” as a single seem to have persisted right up to the very last moment that the “Wasted” single was actually released. Videos for both songs were filmed, probably in October 1979, directed by Andrew H who was a friend of then co-manager Frank Stuart Brown. The performance clips were filmed at Riding House Studios at Central London Polytechnic, in London, apparently while the band opened for . Andrew simply chose that location due to knowing some of the people there and it being a cheap place to rent. P.106 – May 15; Boutwell Auditorium, Birmingham, AL. P. 111 – Clarification. Def Leppard’s popularity in the UK can be summed up with the fact that “Pyromania” didn’t attain BPI silver certification (60,000 copies) until 10/29/85. P.151 – “Release Me” is more notable in pop history for having been the sing that prevented The Beatles’ historic... I don’t know Δ Leppard Tracks... | 2 Δ what happened to the “le,” but “sing” should be “single,” though “song” also fits. (Thanks to Norm) P.157 – The success of the album was finally tangible in the UK. It was certified both Gold and Silver by the BPI on 9/15/87, followed by Platinum on 12/21/87 and Double-Platinum on March 29, 1989 P.177/187 – on the former I mention 80,000 for the attendance at the “Freddie Mercury Tribute” concert while on the latter the figure quoted is 70,000. Figures vary with 72,000 commonly being noted, though mentioning the attendance twice was redundant anyway! (Thanks to Norm) P.224 – Phil sings the first line of the chorus on “Move With Me Slowly,” not first line of the song as mentioned... P.315 – at time of writing a live version of “Rocket” recorded at the Islington Academy was mentioned as the B-side for the “C’mon C’mon” 12” picture disk. Apparently an edit from the 1993 Don Valley show was used instead, though I’d thought the B-side had been removed completely.
