October 10, 2017 BJP PRESIDENT SHRI AMIT SHAH AT THE LAUNCH OF DEVELOPMENT SCHEMES IN AMETHI, UP # As BJP President I thank the people of Amethi wholehearted for blessing us with four seats out of five in the recent assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. We couldn’t have asked for more. Now the development of Amethi will be for all to see under the leadership of Yogi Ji at the state and Modi Ji at the Centre, Amit Shah said. # Shah said that Amethi has been the home ground for the Gandhi-Nehru family for the last three generations and yet is far behind in development. People want to ask Rahul Gandhi what the Congress party has done for Amati in three generations of its rule. What has Rahul Gandhi and Congress done for the development of Amethi? #There are two types of development model in the country – one is the Gandhi family model and another is the Modi model. You have all seen what has happened in the last so many years. And also you can see the development under Modi ji and Yogi ji. I can assure you that next time when we come to you for votes by that time UP would have developed like Gujarat. I have come here because I want the people of Amethi to embrace development, the BJP President said. # He said that it was very interesting for him to see that the winning candidate from Amethi in the last Lok Sabha elections was missing from the constituency but the candidate who lost is busy working hard for its development. Smriti Irani did not leave Amethi even when she lost, Shah said. # Talking about PM Narendra Modi’s developmental work and strong decisions like surgical strikes etc. Shah said the world today recognises India as a power to reckon with. People welcome Modi ji wherever he goes in the world. That is not his welcome as an individual or that of BJP but that as a representative of a powerful country like India and its people. The government’s efforts under Modi ji is bearing fruits, he said. # Congress party and Rahul Gandhi are today asking what has the BJP government done in the last 3 years. The biggest achievement is we have given a PM who speaks unlike the earlier one who was never allowed to speak. Also we have brought in as many as 106 schemes for development of common man, downtrodden, the poor and women. # Rahul Gandhi cannot see the development work done by the BJP government as he is wearing Italian glasses. That’s why he is asking again and again for development work details from us. Lotus will bloom in Amethi in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Shah said. #When we will come to the people asking for votes in 2019 we will not come with excuses and say what we will do in future but will come with details and full report of what we have already done and achieved, the BJP President said.
