He helped turn a 4-7 team into a squad that went 9-2 and allowed under 12 points per game. Jirgl graduated from Division II Winona State University in 2010 with a degree in business administration. He played for four years there, including two as a starter at strong safety. Albright Re-Writes School Record Book in 65-26 Win Over Wilkes Peterson, Pillar Lead Football Past King’s, 57-17 The Albright College football team set school single game records for both total offense and passing yards as the Lions demol- The Albright College football team continued to force turnovers and score points at a staggering rate as the Lions defeated King’s ished visiting Wilkes University 65-26, Saturday afternoon at Shirk Stadium. The first conference competition occurred on May 20, 1913 with a track & field meet at Lafayette College. Since then, 57 institutions have competed in 25 sports and won 33 NCAA team championships. Currently 18 schools, spanning four states, have 6,448 student-athletes competing in 23 sports for 36 conference championships. As the MAC enters its second century, the presidents and athletic administrators have positioned the conference into the strongest, most cohesive structure since its founding.

“The MAC 100 is about more than just the past 100 years - it’s about the incredible people who have shaped the conference to what it is today” said Ken Andrews, MAC Executive Director.

The MAC Hall of Fame, an initiative of the MAC 100, is an honor to recognize student- athletes, coaches, administration, faculty, or staff from the Middle Atlantic Conferenc- es who have demonstrated success in athletics, academics, and in the community. Thirty-six individuals (22 athletes and 17 staff/administrators) were inducted into the Inaugural MAC Hall of Fame, representing 25 schools and 13 different sports.

December 11, 1912 - Delegates from nine colleges and universities meet at Lafayette College and form the Middle Atlantic States Collegiate Athletics Association (MACAA). It is initially organized as a track association. May 17, 1913 - The Association hosts the first annual track meet at Lafayette College. April 23, 1922 - The Middle Atlantic States Collegiate Athletic Conference is officially organized in Philadelphia, Pa. Thirteen institutions attended and are often recognized as original members of the conference. Five additional institu- tions that were not represented at the meeting also approved the original plan. Dean Howard McClenahan of Princeton is named the first MAC President. December 6 & 7, 1949 - The MAC celebrates at the 25th annual meeting.
