Accreditation, qualifications and assessment methods This is a non-accredited course. A certificate of attendance is available at the end of term if you have attended 100% of the course. Assessment will be largely based on tutor observation, emailed pictures of completed tasks and self-reflection. Your Individual Learning Plan will also assist with monitoring your progress. How much additional time do you need to invest? There will be no formal homework, but you may choose to practise what you have learnt in class at home. Your tutor will give you tips on how to safely practise using your outside the classroom environment.

She has worked in Newham College and London College of contemporary Art and is currently working at Buckinghamshire New University. She has worked on Saville Row, created unique looks for fashion and runway productions, setup and run her own training facility as well as created garments for numerous fashion shows throughout the UK and Caribbean.

She has taught a range of subjects over the years including but not limited to Bespoke Tailoring, Pattern Cutting and Garment Construction. She is passionate about her role and finds great joy in passing on her skill set to anyone who is willing to learn. Her true passion is sewing and can be found sewing anything from upholstery, clothing, lingerie, and accessories. She enjoys the challenge of testing commercial patterns and trying new sewing techniques and gadgets.

Please note also that in the first lesson, apart from receiving induction to the course, ALL learners will be required to fill in some forms distributed by the tutor.
