The Hebron High School Band is a consistent Texas UIL In 1994, the Sousa Foundation named Mr. Taylor one of ten recipients to the Band World Legion of Honor. In 1988, he was elected Texas Music Educators “Sweepstakes” winner, Bands of America Regional/Super Regional Finalist and Class Champion, and “Best in Class” winner. The Hebron Wind Symphony Association vice president and Band Division Chairman, President-Elect in 1990 and president in 1992. In 2003, the Texas Bandmasters Association honored was recognized as the Texas Music Educators Association 5A Honor Band for 2010-2011 and performed for the 2011 TMEA Convention Clinic. The Wind him with its Meritorious Achievement Award, and The University Interscholastic League recognized him as a Sponsor of Excellence. In 2014, all of the Hebron Chamber Ensembles performed at Dr. Timothy Rhea is currently in his twenty-fifth year at Texas A&M University, serving as Director of Bands & Music Activities. He serves as administrative the 68th Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic. The Texas Chapter of the American School Band Directors Association selected the Hebron High School head of the Music Activities Program, is conductor of the University Wind Symphony, and oversees the Texas Aggie Band. Dr. Rhea holds degrees in Music Band for their 2015 Outstanding Program Award. Andy is a frequent adjudicator and clinician. He maintains professional affiliations with the American Education and Conducting from the University of Arkansas, Texas Tech University, and the University of Houston. During his tenure at Texas A&M University, Bandmasters Association, Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, Phi Beta Mu International Bandmasters Fraternity, Texas Dr. Rhea has conducted the Texas A&M University Wind Symphony for conventions of the Texas Music Educators Association, the College Band Directors Music Adjudicators Association, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. He currently serves as the Past-President of the Texas Music Educators Association. Andy has been happily married to his wife, Karen, for twenty-three years. Karen and Andy reside in Frisco, Texas with their The TAMU Wind Symphony has released several internationally distributed recordings. In addition to conducting, Dr. Rhea maintains a very successful career two rescue dogs Abby and Rosco. as an arranger and composer with an output of over 300 pieces, to include over fifty published works. Dr. Rhea maintains an internationally active schedule as conductor, clinician, and adjudicator having appeared throughout the United States, Europe, and Australia. He has received the Citation of Excellence from the J.P. Wilson is in his eighth year teaching and fifth year as Associate Director of Bands at Hebron High School in Carrollton, Texas. His duties include National Band Association, was selected as the Outstanding Young Bandmaster of the Year for the State of Texas, and has received the President’s Meritorious assisting with the Wind Symphony, both Concert Bands, conducting the Symphonic Band, and team teaching the marching band. Mr. Wilson is a Carrollton Service Award to Texas A&M University. Dr. Rhea currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors and is Past-President of the American Bandmasters native and graduated from Creekview HS. He went on to graduate with a degree in Music Education from Texas Christian University. Following his time at Association. In 2017, the Hebron Symphonic Band was awarded the Citation of Excellence from the Foundation of Music Education. While at Hebron, Mr. Wilson has seen the Hebron Marching Band earn back to back silver medals at the UIL 6A Scotty Walker is in his twenty-fifth year of teaching instrumental music at Lafayette High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from State Marching Contest in 2014 and 2016, earn silver medals at the BOA San Antonio Super Regional in 2013 and 2017, and be the BOA Grand Nationals the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. During his tenure at Lafayette High School, the Wind Ensemble has performed on some of the most prestigious concert 4A Class Champion, and overall Bronze Medalist in 2015. J.P. is an active leadership clinician. He is currently the Leadership and Drum Major director for stages in the world, including Carnegie Hall in New York City. In 2008, the marching band was selected as a finalist at the Bands of America Grand National the TCU Leadership Experience. He has also taught leadership and drum major camps at the University of Texas at Arlington, Texas A&M Kingsville, and Championships, the first time in attendance. In 2011, the Marching Band was named Class AAA National Champion. He has received the National Band Idaho State University. His professional affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association, the Texas Bandmasters Association, and Phi Mu Alpha Association’s “Citation of Excellence” award for performing in the Bands of America National Concert Band Festival, the All-South Conductors Conference, Sinfonia. Mr. Wilson currently resides in Frisco, Texas with his 7 year old Border Collie/Black Lab, Jaxon. and for their performance in the 2014 CBDNA southern division conference in Jacksonville, Florida. In 2015, the band received the Blue Ribbon National High School Award for Excellence sponsored by the National Band Association. The band has been selected to march in the 2018 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in Dr. Eric Hammer is serving his twenty-fifth year as Director of Bands and Professor of Music Education at the University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music New York City. Mr. Walker has received the “Excellence in Education” award given by the Acadian Arts Council, was a featured director in “50 Directors Who in Stockton, California. At Pacific, Eric leads the Symphonic Wind Ensemble and University Concert Band as well as teaching courses in Conducting, Score Make a Difference” sponsored by School Band and Orchestra Magazine, and honored by receiving the Louisiana Outstanding Bandmaster Award in 2002 and Analysis, Rehearsal Techniques, and Band Development. He also hosts the nationally acclaimed Pacific Western Concert Band Festival, advises the Pacific Pep 2009 by the Phi Beta Mu honorary music fraternity. In 2011, Mr. Walker was inducted into Bandworld’s “Legion of Honor,” sponsored by the John Philip Sousa Band, and supervises student teachers. Additionally, Eric conducts the professional New Hammer Concert Band while maintaining an active calendar of guest Foundation and was recently elected into the American Bandmasters Association. His professional affiliations include the Louisiana Association of Educators, conducting, clinics, and adjudication throughout the country.
