Victoria Falls is one of the seven natural wonders of the world. At over 5,600 feet wide and dropping over 300 feet, it is the largest curtain of water in the world. Enjoy a shared afternoon activity. On day 7, enjoy shared safari activities offered by your lodge. Activities include a visit to Victoria Falls, canoeing on the Zambezi, sunrise and sunset boating, game drives into Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, guided walks, fishing and a visit to Simonga Village. (B, L, D, Dr) A truly intimate experience Sindabezi Island lodge has five open-sided thatched chalets on wooden decks that are completely private and overlook a quiet area of the river. An environmentally friendly island, Sindabezi has zero grid dependence, so rooms are romantically lit with hurricane lamps, candles and starlight. Despite its remote island setting the chalets are luxuriously comfortable with king size beds, white cotton linen, mosquito nets, plush carpets, en-suite bathrooms, free-standing bath and shower, and a private deck from which to soak up the birds and wildlife. DAYS 8, 9, & 10 – LOWER : Enjoy a morning activity before flying to the Lower Zambezi National Park via Lusaka (flights included). The game-viewing in the Lower Zambezi is surpassed only by the beauty of the views. With the steep escarpment behind you and the Zambezi in front, few fail to be moved by this park. On days 9 & 10, enjoy two full days of shared safari activities; including game drives, boating on the Zambezi, fishing, bird watching, canoeing, walking safaris, and night game drives. Overnights Chongwe River Camp. (B, L, D, Dr) Chongwe River Camp has nine classic tents under thatch and two private tented “suites”. Tented suites feature private, shaded outdoor bathrooms with a free-standing bath and shower and a veranda with views across the river. DAY 11– VICTORIA FALLS, ZIMBABWE: Enjoy a shared morning activity – time permitting. Transfer to the local airstrip for your flight to Livingstone via Lusaka (flight included). Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the Victoria Falls Hotel, located in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. Spend the remainder of your day exploring Victoria Falls. Please note: your hotel is within walking distance to the Falls. Overnight Victoria Falls Hotel: Stables Signature Wing Room (B) With its distinctive white walls and red roof the Victoria Falls Hotel provides a perfect balance of modern comfort combined with Edwardian elegance and old world charm. Echoing its glorious past the long carpeted corridors of the main building are lined with drawings of maps and photographs of pioneers and famous explorers. Here one finds 119 front facing deluxe rooms, suites and standard rooms which have courtyard or garden view.
