Wallaby Tourists: Of the 70 odd Wallaby tours overseas since 1899 only on six occassions has SUFC not had a player on tour. Those years being 1913,1925, 1975,1984,1994 and 1995. The first time the Wallabies wore gold jerseys and green shorts was on the 1962 tour of New Zealand . First SUFC player to tour overseas with the Wallabies: Arthur Penman 1905 tour of New Zealand. Penman was a Fullback and played in the 1st Test match against the New Zealanders. SUFC first Wallaby manager Ex Uni player Wally Matthews was our first Wallaby Manager to the United Kingdom tour of 1908-09.
