The carriage house still stands at 4018 Roberts Road, having been converted into a residence.5 A secondary driveway near the western boundary of the property provided direct access to Main Street. The same year that Singing Pines was completed Frank was elected to the Fairfax Town Council. He was also appointed Cashier of the newly created National Bank of Fairfax. Sadly, Frank did not enjoy his new home for very long. In 1904, he suffered a stroke and died.6 After Frank’s death, Barbara moved her children to Baltimore for a while. Their son, Frank R.
