If, like me, you feel low once British Summer Time ends, the clocks go back and the dark evenings are upon us then you need a tonic. For me this is to go to Green Moor Local Carols’ Rehearsals, which start in November.

For the past three years I have been joining a group of enthusiastic singers who rehearse each Monday evening in The Providence Room of Green Moor Methodist Church. We are trained by Mrs Brenda Milnes of Stocksbridge who is also helping in the production of the new Green Moor carol book. We sing the local carols which we are learning to harmonise in four Society which helps people with Muscular Dystrophy. parts.
