ANNA R. ABRAMOVICH (October 2) A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date for Anna R. Abramovich, 80, of Runnemede who passed away on September 21, 2014. Wife of the late John Abramovich Sr. She is survived by her children, John Abramovich Jr. (Darsia), Marie Dirkes (Chet), Theresa Meyers (Tony), grandchildren, Sarah, Al, Matthew, great-grandson Ben and her sister Catherine Macut.

ARMAND GRAMENZI (October 2) Funeral Mass was held at Holy Child Parish, Runnemede for Armand Gramenzi, 88, of Bellmawr, formerly of Camden who passed away on September 25, 2014. Beloved husband of Rose (nee Autuori). Devoted father of Lorraine Frett (Frederick) and Marie Gramenzi. Loving grandmother of Michael Frett (McKenzie) and Steven Frett. Dear brother of Anna Doganiero, Yolanda Stephens, Mary Malesich, Raymond Gramenzi and the late Joseph, Frank and Anthony Gramenzi and Jeanne Hornbaker. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. CHARLES PERKINS (October 2) Funeral Mass was held at St. Joachim Parish, Bellmawr for Charles Perkins, 82, of Chester, IL, formerly of Bellmawr, who passed away on September 17, 2014 at the Coulterville Care Center in Coulterville, IL. Charles was born on October 3, 1931 in Campbell, MO to Charley and Mary Mae Perkins (nee Goldsmith). He married Joan Sainato in May of 1957. She preceded him in death on February 7, 2007. Mr. Perkins served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was employed at Penn Mutual Insurance. He was of the Catholic faith. Survivors include one sister Nell Brandon of Chester, IL; one brother Jimmie Perkins (Alice) of Sparta, IL; sisters-in-law Dolores Farina (John) and Marie Frattali; and brother-in-law Anthony Sainato (Sandi). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother Wendall Thomas and one sister, Frankie Sue Thomas Rodgers. Entombment New St. Mary’s Mausoleum, Bellmawr. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Perkins’ memory to the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life Randolph County IL Chapter, 4503 W. HATSUMI HARADA (October 2) Private services were held for Hatsumi “Sue” Harada (nee Tachiyama), 99, of Bellmawr, formerly of Philadelphia who passed away on September 23, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Masaru Harada. Devoted mother of George (Stella), Arthur, Stanley and Henry (Dorothy). Loving grandmom of ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Mrs. Harada was a member of the Bellmawr Seniors and the Philadelphia JACL. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Gardner Funeral Home, 126 South Black Horse Pike, Runnemede. BERNADINE T. PEAHOTA (October 2) Bernadine T. Peahota, of Chalfont, passed away with her loving family by her side on September 13, 2014 at Fox Chase Cancer Center. She was the beloved wife of 58 years to the late F. Peahota who passed away in July of this year. Bernadine was born on May 7, 1932 in Philadelphia she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Theresa Pubenc Olejkowski. A graduate of the former Mastbaum High School in Philadelphia Bernadine would go on to marry her soul mate, William, whom she had known since the 4th grade. Together they raised their two daughters and Bernadine later worked in billing for the former United News Company. Until her husband’s recent passing, she gave of herself tirelessly in caring for him and will be remembered for the devotion both to him and her entire family. An avid Phillies fan, Bernadine was also greatly skilled at needlepoint artwork and crocheting. She will be dearly missed. Bernadine is survived by her daughters, Loretta Berkland and her husband, Dan, of Sibley, IA and Barbara Burns and her husband, Bob, of Elkins Park; seven grandchildren, Tim and Melissa Berkland, Mike Berkland, Bill Burns, Kevin Berkland, Kelly Burns, and Jill Berkland; and two great grandchildren, Stevielyn Burns and Peyton Pavese. She also leaves behind her brother Edwin Olejkowski and her sister Leona Opalkowski. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Daley, Sr., 63, of Gloucester City who passed away suddenly, on September 20, 2014. Beloved Son of the late Edward Daley, Jr. and Ida M. Yourison (nee Hagan). Loving and Cherished husband of 44 years to the late Frances Ann Daley – Eckerle. Devoted father of Michael W. Daley, Jr. (Marie), Mark E. Daley, Robert A. Daley and William J. Daley (Ann). SCHMIDT (October 2) Funeral services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Runnemede for The Reverend Edward C. Schmidt, 72, of Deptford, formerly of Runnemede, who passed away on September 22, 2014. Beloved husband of 50 years of Patricia A. (nee Taylor). Devoted father of Marc A. and his wife Michelle. Loving grandfather of Tyler, Sherry, Selena and Marc E. Schmidt. Dear brother of Dorothy Shields of Deptford, NJ and Karen Schmidt of Charlottesville, VA. Rev. Schmidt was pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Runnemede for 20 years. When he semi-retired he became the interim pastor of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Springfield, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Holmdel, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Wildwood, and Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Audubon. Pastor Schmidt was also the chaplain of the Runnemede Fire Dept. Interment private. FAITHANN FOREMAN (October 2) Methodist services were held at McCann-Healey Funeral Home, 851 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City for Faithann Foreman, 50, (nee Burkert), of Brooklawn, formerly of Bellmawr, who surrounded by her loving family, passed away on September 25, 2014. Loving fiancée of Thomas E. Virden, Jr. Loving mother of John Cristinzio (Jessica), Heather Cristinzio, Jessica Foreman and Brianna Virden. Cherished grandmother of Adam, Mallory and Jase. Beloved daughter of William “Pap” Burkert and the late Jessica Burkert. Dear sister of Bill Burkert (Susan). Predeceased by her late husband William “Bill” Foreman. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, friends and co-workers. Faith was a graduate of Triton High School class of 1982. She worked 15 years with Bancroft and devoted her life to working with those with challenges. Faith enjoyed crafts and cooking and deeply loved her family and friends. ROBERT W. HILL (October 2) Funeral services were held for Robert W. Hill, 62, of Paulsboro, Formerly of Gloucester City who passed away on September 22, 2014. Survived by his girlfriend Margaret “Peg” Brayton; his daughters Kristina T. Morrison and Lisa M. Hill; his brother John P. Hill and his sister Cheryl Hill. Predeceased by his parents, William B. Hill and May E. (nee Ritter) and his brother William R. Hill. A 1969 graduate of Gloucester City High School, Robert proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a life member of Townsend C. Young VFW Post #3620. Robert retired as a detective with the Camden Police Department. Interment in Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery will be private. Formerly of Westville who passed away on September 18, 2014. Survived by longtime and good friend, Renee. Lydia was born in Woodbury and was a 1969 graduate of Deptford High School. ROSE LEE LOCANTORE (October 2) Memorial Funeral services were held for Rose Lee Locantore, (nee Urban), 70, of Mt. Ephraim for Rose Lee Locantore who passed away on August 28, 2014. Wife of the late Thomas of Mt. Ephraim. She is survived by Norman and William Maginnis and Jean and Tom Lynch. Rose Lee retired from Diamond Furniture after 30 years. Interment private. S. ALICE WANGER (October 2) Funeral services were held for S. Alice Wagner, 78, (nee Hauer), of Bellmawr, who passed away on September 26, 2014, Beloved wife of 55 years of Kenneth L. Wagner, Sr. Devoted mother of Kenneth L. Wagner, Jr., Susan A. Gibson (Michael) and Lori A. Sherwood (Dennis). Loving grandmom of Ashlie Wagner and Lauren and Lindsay Sherwood. CALVIN R. LANGE (October 9) Funeral services were held for Calvin R. Lange, 86, of Westville who passed away on October 1, 2014. Loving husband of Nettie J. (nee Adams) for sixty-five years. Father of Steven J. Lang (Patricia) of Connecticut, James R. Lang (Shirley) of Westville and Robert C. Lang (Barbara) of Deptford. Grandfather of Chris (Juana), Shaun, Jolie, Colin, Dylan and Spencer. Great grandfather of Ethan, Aidan and Eva. Beloved uncle to many, he is reunited with his parents, brothers and sisters. Calvin was the owner of Lang’s Economy Ice in Westville and he previously owned and operated Lang’s Tire House in Glassboro. He was a hardworking man, honest, always quick with a joke and unfailing loyal to friends and family. He was an avid Philadelphia Sports fan and especially enjoyed attending his beloved Flyers and Eagles game. Interment Hillcrest Cemetery, Hurffville. Haddon Ave., Oaklyn for Alice F. Lick, 93, (Fish), of West Collingswood, formerly of Gloucester City who passed away on October 5, 2014. Loving wife of the late Arthur “Al” Lick. Loving mother of Joan Welch, John A. Lick (Joan), Susan Mattson (late Howard), Denise Wolfson (Jeff) and Stephen C. Lick (Debbie). Cherished grandmother of 11and the late Deborah Lick and great grandmother of 12. Beloved sister of the late Helen Willard, the late Raymond Fish (surviving Margaret), the late James Fish and the late Mary McCarty. Alice was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School / Gloucester Catholic class of 1939. She was a past member of the St. Joan of Arc Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality. Alice volunteered many years with Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and SCUCS in Camden County. Alice enjoyed writing poetry, walking outdoors and being surrounded by her family. LOIS M. SCARLETT (October 9) Funeral services were held for Lois M. Scarlett (nee Duffield), 86, of Williamstown, formerly of Brooklawn who passed away on September 28, 2014. Lois was a retired Brooklawn Municipal Court Clerk and a member of the Brooklawn Ladies Fire Auxiliary. Beloved wife of the late “Ted” Williamson and the late Ralph J. Scarlett. Devoted mother of Thelma Muldoon, Barbara Lewis (David), Ted Williamson and step mother of Paul Scarlett (JoAnn) & Ralph Scarlett (Casey). Loving grandmother of 10 and great grandmother of 14. JOSEPH A. MASON (October 9) Private funeral services were held for Joseph A. Mason, 85, of Barrington who passed away on September 29, 2014. Loving husband of 60 years to Josephine Mason (nee Gaynor). Loving father of Susan Nobles, Joseph Mason, Joann McDevitt (Bill) and Diane Mason (Rich). Cherished grandfather of Ernie, Jennifer, Joe, Steven, Joe, Kimberly, Eric, Rileigh, Matthew, Michael and Samantha and great grandfather of 11. Dear brother of Robert Mason, Richard Mason, Elaine Powers, Thomas Mason and William Mason. Joseph proudly served our country during the Korean Conflict in the U.S. National Guard. ROBERT J. STEPHENS (October 9) Funeral services were held for Robert J. Stephens, 95, of Brooklawn, passed away on October 4, 2014. Bob was born in Camden and has resided in Brooklawn for 72 years. He was a machinist for the New York Shipyard for 20 years and then for Langston Co. in Cherry Hill for 20 years. Bob was the oldest living member of the Brooklawn Fire Co.; Collingswood Cloud Lodge 101F & AM and former councilman in Brooklawn. He was an extremely active member of the Brooklawn United Methodist Church. He volunteered his time and his talent to the church and went on multiple missions. He was a caregiver not only to his family but to his church, friends, neighbors and anyone who knew him. Robert was predeceased by his beloved wife Ida Bremer & sister Lillian Lewis. He is survived by his daughters Shirley Wakemen, Carolyn (Richard) Wiest & Robyn (Daniel) Austin; 7 grandchildren Sandra Hitchens, William C. III & Stephen Wakemen, Scott & Rich Jr. Wiest, Stephanie Kendrick & Daniel Austin Jr. and 5 great grandchildren Joshua, Alexandra, Zachary, Ryan & Madelyn. Interment Eglington Cemetery. Breen (nee Gerace), 83, of Glendora, formerly of South Philadelphia, who passed away on September 27, 2014. Beloved wife of Harry J. Breen of 54 years. Devoted mother of Nicholas Breen, DMD (Kathlyn), Joan Janosko (Andrew), James Breen (Laura), and Joseph Breen (Lori). Loving grandmom of Kevin, Brittany, Nicholas, Jr., Sean, Megan, Danielle, Ryan, Brianna, Gabriella, Jessica, Angelina, and Alexis. BARBARA M. KALCK (October 16) Funeral services were held for Barbara M. Kalck, 69, of Mt. Ephraim who passed away on September 22, 2014. Barbara loved to sew, paint draw, take pictures, scrapbook and shop. She collected Raggedy Ann and Andy, bird houses and magnets. She loved to laugh and always had a beautiful smile to hide the pain she endured her entire life. A True Hero. Sur vived by her loving daughter, Melissa Vanderslice and devoted Son-in-Law Dennis. Proud Mommom to Ehtan, Jacob and Emily. There were her universe. Daughter of the late Charles Kalck II and the late Madeline Parks. Devoted great-grandmother of 11. Victoria Burgo born in Barre section of Italy in 1916, to Giuseppe and Vincenza Gimmi. Her mother passed away when she was 2 years old during the influenza outbreak. Her aunt raised her until she was 7years old when her father sent for her to join her sisters and himself in South Camden. Victoria made the 7 day transatlantic crossing by herself. Upon arrival she spoke no English in time she spoke perfect English without an accent and spell any word you gave her. She met and married Rocco Burgo moved to Westville where Rocco owned and operated his own barber shop until 1980. She had two children, five grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren. She was the oldest living member of the Westville Ladies Auxiliary Fire Company. Victoria was a devoted parishioner of Saint Anne’s R.C. Church in Westville (presently St. Joachim Parish). She was very active volunteer with St. Anne's Altar and Rosary Society in Westville. Victoria was an active volunteer to St. Anne's Church Jack Benny Club in Westville where she worked Bingo for many years. She was proficient in sewing and crocheting. She made many customs for the children over the years. She loved to play cards was the social butterfly of the Camelot assisting living facility. She will be sadly missed by all that loved her.
