Muvi schmallenbergi gen. nov., sp. nov. (Crustacea, Tanaidacea) from the southeast Australian coast, with comments on the distribution and habitat preferences of Chondropodinae Piotr Jóźwiak and Magdalena Błażewicz Department of Invertebrate Zoology and Hydrobiology, Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection, University of Łódź, Łódź, Poland ABSTRACT Based on material collected from the shelf off southeast Australia (offshore of Portland), a new genus and new species, Muvi schmallenbergi gen. nov., sp. nov., of the tanaidacean family Metapseudidae, is described. Muvi is distinguishable from other genera within the subfamily Chondropodinae by having equally long antennular flagella. It also differs from other Chondropodinae by a combination of characters such as eyelobes with a group of visual elements, rostrum with smooth lateral edges, pereonites with lateral processes and pleotelson lacking lateral process, antennule article-1 with a single apophysis, maxillule inner lobe well-developed, labial palp bearing three distal setae, cheliped exopod well-developed and setose, pereopod-1 coxa with distinct apophysis, pleopods in five pairs, and uropod basis without apophysis. The genus Deidamiapseudes Sganga & Roccatagliata, 2016 is moved from Chondropodinae (Metapseudidae) to Apseudoidea incertae sedis. An identification key for the genera within Chondropodinae is given, and their distribution is discussed. A comprehensive description, illustrations, 12 phylogenetic tree and a comparison with a closely allied species are provided. 13 Key words: Boletales, fungi, taxonomy 14 INTRODUCTION 15 An unusual sponge-shaped, terrestrial fungus was encountered by Peay et al. (2010) 16 during a recent study of ectomycorrhizal community structure in the dipterocarp dominated 17 forest of the Lambir Hills in Sarawak, Malaysia. The form of the sporocarp was unusual enough 18 that before microscopic examination the collectors were uncertain whether the fungus was a 19 member of the Ascomycota or the Basidiomycota. However, upon returning to the laboratory it 20 was recognized as a species of the recently described genus Spongiforma Desjardin, Manf. 21 Binder, Roekring & Flegel that was described from dipterocarp forests in Thailand (Desjardin et 22 al. 2009). The Borneo specimens differed in color, odor and basidiospore ornamentation from Desjardin et al – 2 23 the Thai species, and subsequent ITS sequence analysis revealed further differences warranting 24 its formal description as a new species. -

The analysis revealed 27 new records of brown algae for Hainan Island, including 5 species which also constitute new records for China. 21 of these species are de- scribed with photographs and an annotated list of all species with information on life forms, habitat (localities and tidal zones) and their geographical distribution is provided. Ce recensement tient compte des dernières révisions systématiques et des prospections du suprabenthos à l’échelle de la Manche. Les inventaires dans les trois régions de la Manche occidentale considérées (Roscoff, Plymouth et Golfe normano- breton) présentent une richesse spécifique plus importante que dans les deux régions de la Manche orientale examinées, (Baie de Seine et Wimereux) : Roscoff (202 espèces), Plymouth et Golfe normano-breton (194), Baie de Seine (130) et Wimereux (136). Cet inventaire traduit ainsi l’appauvrissement spécifique d’ouest en est, en relation avec un gradient cli- matique. Ce sont les premières signalisations pour l’inventaire de Roscoff de Corophium sextonae et de Lysianassa insperata. Abstract: An up-to-date list of the amphipods (Crustacea: Peracarida) from the English Channel. An up-to-date list of the amphipods from the English Channel is given for the first time counting 255 species. This inventory is based on recent systematics and suprabenthic studies. The number of species is higher in the western part of the Channel (Roscoff, Plymouth, Golfe normano-breton) than in two areas in the eastern part (Bay of Seine) and Wimereux: respectively, Roscoff (202 species), Plymouth and Golfe normano-breton (194), Bay of Seine (130) and Wimereux (136). -

Abstract: Leccinum is one of the most important groups of boletes. Most species in this genus are ectomycorrhizal symbionts of various plants, and some of them are well-known edible mushrooms, making it an exceptionally important group ecologically and economically. The scientific problems related to this genus include that the identification of species in this genus from China need to be verified, especially those referring to European or North American species, and knowledge of the phylogeny and diversity of the species from China is limited. In this study, we conducted multi- locus (nrLSU, tef1-a, rpb2) and single-locus (ITS) phylogenetic investigations and morphological observisions of Leccinum from China, Europe and North America.
