Central Missouri claimed at least a share of its 13th MIAA crown and first since 2003. The Bearcats have claimed five of the last six MIAA crowns. MULES NO. 1, BEARCATS NO. 4 IN SCORING OFFENSE Saturday’s matchup will feature two of the top four scoring teams in the nation in 2019. Central Missouri leads the nation in scoring at 51.2 points per game. Northwest ranks No. 4 in the nation in scoring offense at 46.8 points per game. Northwest has scored 50 or more points four times this season. RED-ZONE SCORING Northwest ranks No. 1 in the nation in red zone scoring offense. The Bearcats have scored on 30 of their 31 trips inside the red-zone this season for a 96.8 percent scoring percentage. DEFENSIVE STOPS IN 2ND 1/2 The Northwest defensive unit has allowed five second-half touchdowns in 2019 and three of those scores came in the season opener at Missouri Western (Sept. 5).
