Area Information from Impact Atholl Atholl Estate Ranger Service The main track up Glen Tilt is severely damaged between the Glen Tilt Car Park and Gilbert’s bridge, but walkers and cyclists can get past with care. Horse riders would need to go round by the top road past Blairuachdar and the rifle range. Please take account of any on site signage and instruction. Ballater Council Cambus O May Bridge closed

Ballater COAT Ballater Golf Course path and Seven Bridges (south) diversion path no longer function/exist as paths

Ballater Aberdeenshire Council Riverside path upstream of Dee Bridge- Path is currently closed pending inspection. There has been significant damage to the wall and steps at the Cornellan Square end. Breamar COAT Riverside Walk along the Clunie and Dee is impassable due to fallen trees and has been closed. Once the rivers have receded a more detailed assessment will be made of the path condition.

Cairngorm Cairngorm Mountain Ranger Service Paths damaged but not closed. Mountain Crathie COAT River side path next to the Visitor Centre has been washed away. Dinnet COAT Dalmochie to Dinnet (Cambus o May path) linking to the Deeside Way is cut off after damage to the Cambus o May Bridge.

Dinnet Scottish Natural Heritage Paths around the Burn O’Vat have been damaged but are passable with care.

Glenlivet Glenlivet Estate Ranger Service The Livet Footbridge (NJ 189 300) over the River Livet approx. 0.5km upstream of Drumin Castle has been completely washed away. Glen Tanar Glen Tanar Estate All way marked trails within the Glen are passable with care except the Strone circuit that is closed as the track now in the Water of Allachy.

Invercauld Invercauld Esatate Access to Corndavon Lodge is blocked at the Black Hillock NO235014 due to a landslide. Otherwise tracks ok with some small amounts of water damage in the Gairn area.

Routes from Keiloch out to Slugain, Culardoch all ok, but care needs to be taken over fords. Culardoch track North hasn’t been explored yet due to snow blocking road.

Baddoch, bridge is washed out at NO129822, but ford is passable just, getting very slippery so care needed, otherwise glen tack seems ok.

The bridge River Garin at NO172988 has badly damaged and is currently closed.

All other bridges seem ok to date but care must be taken when crossing, check first.

Footbridge at Baddoch wood NO131828 still present but would not recommend using as far side has 2 large cracks in stone work.

Bridge at Dunmay, NO135667 not passable due to far side washed away.

Treat all fords with care as we are unsure of stones that may have moved as water levels are still high.

No reports as yet on hill tracks.

DO remember that access is reduced for the emergency services as well.

Bridge at Derry Lodge is fine.

It will take some time to assess the damage to footpaths, tracks and bridges, and at present we cannot access many areas. Please take great care if accessing the Estate especially near water courses as footpaths and bridges may not have been inspected yet.
