The HISTORY Southeastern Conference continues to prove that its TIGERS nine member institutions form the premiere league in TIGER HISTORY NCAA swimming and diving. On the men's side, Auburn won its third straight national title, while all eight SEC teams placed in the top 30 nationally last March. Fellow league member, Georgia, captured the women's national championship. Three SEC women's teams fin- ished in the top five. The SEC also sent the most swim- mers of any conference to the U.S. Nationals and World Championships.

The Natatorium features a 50-meter pool, which can be converted into two 25-meter or 25-yard pools with the use of bulkheads.

he LSU Natatorium has served as the exclu- sive home of the swimming and diving team Tsince the summer of 1985. The facility has played host to several national competitions, including the 1985 National Sports Festival, the 1986 Men's Southeastern Conference Championships, the 1987 NCAA Diving Regional and the U.S. Diving National Championships in the spring of 1987. The Natatorium was also the host facility during the 1999 NCAA Regional Diving Championships. The Natatorium features a 50-meter pool, which can be converted into two 25-meter or 25- yard pools with the use of bulkheads. The facility also houses a new championship diving well that was completely renovated in the summer of 2003 Diving Well with 1- and 3-meter springboards, and 5-, 7- and 10-meter platforms. In addition, the Natatorium also contains fully computerized scoring and tim- ing systems. The landmark is located immediately north of the LSU Field House and can comfortably accom- modate 2,200 spectators. New seating along the championship end of the pool has been added and will accommodate large crowds for dual-meet and championship competition. A school dual-meet record of 275 fans watched the Tigers defeat Delta State and UL-Monroe on Jan. 29, 2005. Renovated locker rooms were completed in September 1998. The spacious locker rooms fea- ture separate varsity lockers, both for men and women, and also accommodate public showers and locker areas. Training Facilities
