Let’s Talk! Community Meeting Scheduled for Thursday, June 11th
College Park, GA/June 10, 2020 - The City of College Park will hold the last of three mee ngs in the virtual Let’s Talk Community Mee ng Series on June 11, 2020, at 4:00 pm via Zoom. The mee ngs are designed to educate, inform, and gain input from the community on the design of Six West (formerly known as Airport City). The series will conclude by sharing the resul ng vision that was developed for Six West with the input of the community. “West of downtown College Park and just west of the airport, Six West covers six historic avenues that pay homage to five Ivy League schools and civic leader John Wesley,” said Ar e Jones III, Director of Economic Development for the City of College Park. “We aim to memorialize the site’s past while developing its future,” said Jones.
The first mee ng of the series provided a historical perspec ve of the area, formerly known as Airport City, and an overview of the new Six West Development project. This mee ng was video recorded and can be found on the City of College Park’s website. To further include and honor the communi es of College Park, ci zens and supporters were invited to complete a survey, which asked for input about poten al features that could be included in the Six West Development.
During the second mee ng, ci zens and supporters were shown the results from the survey. They were also able to par cipate in an interac ve webinar in which polls were conducted regarding the poten al look, feel and func on of Six West.
The community is asked to support the last mee ng scheduled for June 11th star ng at 4:00pm. Visit the College Park website (www.collegeparkga.com) for the link to register and be among the first to see and give feedback on the design plans envisioned for the new Six West Development. ### ______About The City of College Park, Georgia
