We currently have 46 skaters, 34 in CanSkate and 12 in STARSkate . La Crete has a population of 8000 people with 53% under the age of 19. Our club has been growing in number in the last 3 years. Requirements: The successful candidate will: Be a minimum Primary STARSkate Certified Provide a photocopy of your Skate Canada Professional Coaching Membership Card Have a Police Clearance Check Hold a current First Aid Certificate Have completed the Making Ethical Decisions module Roles & Responsibilities: The successful applicant’s primary role would be head coach of our club, which would include coaching CanSkate and STARSkate. Skills: The successful candidate will: Be a positive role model for our skaters Coach with enthusiasm and professionalism Have a positive attitude and possess good communication skills Be comfortable working in a team oriented club Be able to work alongside our Executive members Time Commitment: Our season begins in October and runs through to the end of March currently offering approximately 8 hours per week. La Crete Skating Club offers a competitive wage and financial assistance to our coaches to attend coaching courses. Skating Programs: Our Club is seeking a head coach to coach CanSkate and STARSkate .
