Pioneer's International Music Summit Grand Finale Festival gets Ibiza’s 2012 clubbing season off to an electrifying start Submitted by: Kate Gordon Thursday, 31 May 2012 31st May 2012, Ibiza: Pioneer (http://www.djsounds.com/)’s position at the heart of the dance music industry has been reaffirmed with this year’s International Music Summit (IMS) Grand Finale Festival in Ibiza’s picturesque old town. As the only contemporary music event to be held within the Dalt Vila UNESCO World Heritage site, the IMS Grand Finale Festival is a truly momentous occasion. It officially marks the end of IMS and the opening of Ibiza’s world-famous clubbing season. This year DJ E.A.S.E., of Nightmares On Wax, kicked off proceedings as the setting sun bathed the Balearic island in a golden glow. Performances from Disclosure, Seth Troxler, Loco Dice, Azari & III and Carl Cox took the energised audience into the night. The crowd then headed over to Ibiza’s iconic Pacha nightclub, where Pete Tong and Calvin Harris raised the roof until the small hours. The previous evening had seen David Guetta, Paul Oakenfold, Diplo, MINX and Goldfish take to the stage at Dalt Vila as enthusiastic fans lapped up the atmosphere against the stunning backdrop of the Ibizan harbour. Now in its fifth year, the three-day IMS is one of the dance music industry’s most influential events. This year’s summit featured keynote speeches from internet giants such as Google, YouTube, Spotify and Twitter and interviews with legendary producers Giorgio Moroder and Nile Rodgers.

ask 4records.com In Progress pres. Teya Bio Pavel Rad'ko also known as In Progress, Teya and Pavel Pryde started producing in 2001 using ReBirth 2.0. Then he discovered Fruity Loops 1.0 which charmed him with its simple and multifunctional interface. Years have passed in sound training; a collection of samples and VST synths was growing up by that time. The first tracks sounded like melodic psy-trance inspired from Yahel's album tracks ("For The People"). Pavel left his hometown in 2003 and moved to Saint-Petersburg to continue his studies. He met a lot of new people who were in contact with trance music. The quality of his productions improved and gave him the impulse to continue. In 2005 two of his remixes have been spinned at the russian FM Radio Show named "Trancemission". That was the starting point for serious productions. The following releases appeared later on. His productions have been supported by Armin Van Buuren (A State Of Trance), Above & Beyond (Trance Around The World), Markus Schulz (Global DJ Broadcast), Tiesto (Clublife), Ferry Corsten (Corstren's Countdown) and also by Mike Shiver, Marcus Schossow, Matt Darey, John Askew, Mark Pledger and many other good DJs. MARTIN GARCIA (DJ Set ) Since his beginnings as a professional DJ, Martin Garcia ’s artistic evolution was mainly lead by the British dance music industry, which he slowly incorporated and adapted to the local scene. After playing in different clubs of Buenos Aires , his sessions at internationally acclaimed Clubland nights at Pacha made him acquire a weight of his own. From that moment on, he’s played many times alongside Sasha , Nick Warren , Jimmy Van M . and Danny Howells , among other artists. A smooth m ixing technique and the details of his sound selections have gained him a huge recognition from the great number of progressive house fans along Argentina and Latin America. A success he’s also achieved as a producer, either individually or together as a p owerful duo with Hernan Cattaneo , releasing on labels such as Perfecto , Shinichi and Bedrock . In 2005 Martin was the first guest DJ at London's Kiss FM and he entered number 50 at DJ Mag 's ranking. November and December saw him touring with John Digweed around South America, where he’s played many times before in Peru, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay and Colombia. Present each year inside the line up of the famous Creamfields Buenos Aires , he's usually a headliner in such events as Moonpark parties and 1Live! In 2006 he's already played at East Fest Punta del Este , Uruguay’s glamour summer spot, Southfest 's third edition (he played the first one too) and he also made his debut at Miami's Winter Music Conference with a memorable back to back with Hernan Cattaneo and a special set for Frisky Radio .
