The Official Newsletter of Cheyenne ™ SEPTEMBER—2019 What a year 2019 shaped up to be. Let’s talk about a changes and challenges that allowed the volunteers to show off their skills and pride. The CFD Event Center was completed on time, and it took us to a new level for experiencing the “Daddy.” I am excited for the volunteers to have a new facility for their meetings and social functions. I have already seen first-hand how the new building is bringing our volunteers closer as a team. Some of the committees have decided to have joint Christmas parties this year . . . how cool is that! Also, how cool was it to see the Thunderbirds flying over F.E. Warren AFB once again. Then we had the addition of and the sellout concert; all while continuing the tradition of providing a world class and Western Celebration. General Chairman, This year had some challenges that were met head-on by a volunteer force that never sees defeat. The most notable challenge was security this year, stemming Jimmy Dean Siler from the world events happening just prior to our show. We received increased security requests from our night show performers, which, in my opinion, allowed our volunteers to show off their talent. Our volunteers took on all the challenges, teamed up, got rid of me, and knocked it out of the park. We learned so much this year, that hopefully can help us into the future. We know things have to change to keep Frontier Park, our customers, friends, staff and volunteers safe in the future. We had a very successful year in 2019, and I am so proud of our volunteers.

2020 is already shaping up to be another great year. I want to send out a special “Thanks” to our 2019 Miss Frontier Halley Jankowsky, 2019 Public Relations Chairman Mike Martin and his better half, Kelley. You three are a class act and it was an honor to serve with you. Kim and I learned a great deal from all of you and will cherish the memories we made. How about a huge welcome to our 2020 Miss Frontier, Bailey Bishop. I know deep in my heart you will make us all so proud. Congratulations to Savannah Messenger for being selected as our 2020 Lady-In-Waiting and finally the selection of Mike Smith, along with his better half Tiffany as our 2020 Public Relations Chairman. From both Kim and I, thank you very much to all the Volunteers, Staff, Board of Directors, General Committee and all our friends for making 2019 a success! P.S. Thank you Kim and I love ya.

Thank you to everyone for another successful show. The rodeo was a success and the night shows were great. Without the hard work of all the volunteers it would never happen. We are currently assessing the show and seeing how we can improve on it for next year. We had a great turn out for our 2019 work days and nights and we got so much accomplished. Thank you all for your devotion and countless hours of service. In particular I’m grateful for the Parades Committee Volunteers. Kudos to the 500+ people who successfully contributed to the four Grand Parades with world renowned historic carriages and costumes, stirring marching bands, western floats, thrilling riding groups, and an extremely strong military presence.
