Former Bronco Brandon Stokley Named Celebrity Chair for Golf Tournament of Hope Benefitting Sensory Processing Disorder Foundation

Greenwood Village, CO (May 20, 2014) – The Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) Foundation is pleased to announce that Brandon Stokley has accepted the role of Celebrity Chair for the 2nd Annual Tournament of Hope to be held on June 9 at 9:00 a.m. at The Club at Pradera, 5225 Raintree Drive, Parker, Colorado--a private award-winning course designed by Jim Engh.

This annual golf event, raises money for the SPD Foundation, a world leader in research, education and awareness for Sensory Processing Disorder which is a complex disorder of the brain that affects the way information from the senses (sight, sound, taste, smell, touch, and movement) is experienced and turned into behavior. The Foundation is affiliated with STAR Center--the premier treatment center for children with sensory challenges.

“Children with SPD are often misdiagnosed and have challenges getting through each day,” said Sheryl Benjamin, Executive Director. “We are honored that Brandon is participating in this annual event that raises money to help us continue cutting-edge research into the causes of SPD and viable treatment to help these kids and their families.”

Brandon Stokley, a fomer NFL receiver with the finished his career with 397 receptions for 5,339 yards and 39 touchdowns with the , , Denver Broncos, and . Stokley caught a 38-yard touchdown pass in Ravens’ XXXV win, and also has a championship ring from the Colts’ Super Bowl XLI victory.

Joan M. Miller, Senior Vice President Energy and Chemicals at CH2M HILL is the Tournament of Hope Chair. Miller is responsible for the successful acquisition and delivery of projects, and profit and cost management, as well as strategy and planning for the western U.S. By bringing her leadership expertise to chair this committee, Miller gives back to the community helping families affected by SPD.

The Tournament of Hope is sponsored by The Masonic Temple Association of Denver, part of whose focus is to help others.

There are various opportunities to participate in the 2014 Tournament of Hope. Sponsor levels range from $500 to $5,000 and provide an opportunity to get your name out into the community. Players are welcome and foursome registrations are $680 and individual Players register for $180.

Players will enjoy a pre-tournament continental breakfast, green fees, cart, range balls, two drink tickets, a post- tournament buffet lunch and awards party, contest including a hole-in-one opportunity and a goodie bag. 5420 S. The tournament format is shotgun start, four-person scramble. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. with the driving range open to participants for practice. The shotgun start will begin at 9:00 a.m.
