Jim Ryun (East, Wichita, KS): 9th in semi-final in 1500; Only a Junior. 1st in mile in 4:04.3 and two mile in 9:04.0 in 1965. Richard Stebbins (Fremont, Los Angeles, CA): 7th at 200m (20.8); won Gold Medal (3d leg) on 4x100 relay which set a new world record at 39.0. 2d in 100y in 9.7 and 2d in 220y in 21.4t in 1962. Ulis Williams (Compton, CA): 5th at 400m (46.0); won Gold Medal (running 3d leg in 45.4)on world record setting 4x400 relay which finished in 3:00.7. 1st in 440 in 47.3 in 1961. 1968 - Mexico City, Mexico Bob Beamon (Jamaica, Queens, NY): 1st in long jump with world record of 29- 2.25. 4th in 1965 GWI long jump at 23-11; won GWI triple jump at 50- 3.25.
