Croys’ Christmas gift to grandparents Croys used their end-of-year Christmas treat to support a local charity. Each staff member of the Ashburton accountant firm was surprised with $100 to spend that afternoon with the only provision that $20 had to be used on a gift for the Ashburton branch of the national Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Trust. Croys director Anne Marrett said with a number of staff being grandparents they saw it as a great opportunity for some Christmas charity. “These children in there grandparents’ care will all get presents, but we wanted to make sure these grandparents didn’t miss out,” Marrett said.
