Field of Specialization: Lithospheric dynamics, Tectonics, Plate Tectonics, Marine Geophysics

Research Interests: A total 38 years of research experience for understanding the dynamics of the north Indian Ocean led to make advancement and new postulations on “Evolution of the Eastern Continental Margins of India, Sediment dispersal pattern in the in relation rapid uplift of , claiming additional seabed territory under Legal Continental Shelf program, Plate breakup process in the Indian Ocean and interactions between the mid-ocean ridge segments and mantle plumes”. The studies have produced outstanding scientific outputs that are being extensively used for furthering our understandings by scientists from India and abroad.
