 5 young people have received grants of up to £250 to test market their busi- ness idea.

 4 young people had the opportunity to ‘pitch’ their business idea to Karl Turner MP.

 4 young people have completed the ‘Big 13’ Enterprise Skills training and are now attending Finer Business Training.

 3 businesses entered the Badgers Sett Enterprise Challenge (Post-16). One young person successfully reached the final and was given the opportunity to pitch her business idea to Ruth Badger (runner-up of The Apprentice 2006). Although she didn’t win she has been given several mentoring sessions with Ruth.

COMING UP …..

We will be starting Project Blyth in January which will give young people on the MC4C Project the opportunity to design and build a Formula 24+ electric car, culminating in a street race during City of Culture 2017. Northern Gas, Sign Services and Sangwin Group have kindly agreed to act as mentors for the project.
