Calling all Businesses, Organizations and Individuals!
The City of Plantation Parks and Recreation Department is currently planning our Annual Independence Day Parade and we are looking for local businesses, groups and organizations such as yours to participate.
The Independence Day Parade will be held on S , July aturday 3rd Our 2021 theme is: “Land That I Love”
Enclosed you will find a parade Participant Application for you to complete and return. All parade applications must be received by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 23rd There is no fee to participate.
This is great opportunity for businesses, organizations, homeowner associations, schools and residents to come together to celebrate our community and our nation.
The lineup begins at 7:30 a.m. with the parade stepping off at 9:00 a.m.
The parade is approximately two (2) hours long. It ends at Plantation City Hall.
Entries will not be judged this year. There will be no award ceremony following the parade. Please see the attached information page for additional safety requirements.
This is an important day for all of us and we hope you will join us for the festivities.

IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 2021 PARADE, YOU MUST RETURN THIS FORM ON OR BEFORE WEDNESDAY, JUNE 23, 2021.
The City of Plantation will provide reasonable accommodations for disabled individuals requesting special assistance in order to attend or participate in meetings, classes or events; provided that a request for such must be made to the Parks & Recreation Department 954-452-2502 at least five (5) calendar days prior to the meeting, class or event. All City of Plantation brochures, programs and pamphlets are available in alternative format, upon request. Please call 954-797-2648. Dear Parade Par cipants: Enclosed you will find informa on regarding the Independence Day 2021 parade. We look forward to having you take part in the City’s annual event.
COVID 19 Safety Requirements: Non‐Compliant entries will be removed from the parade. No handouts of any kind are to by tossed or distributed to parade goers including candy and water.
All parade par cipants are to wear masks.
All parade par cipants are to social distance 6’ from others in the same entry if not a family member and are also required to stay 6’ from parade goers.
We will not be assigning Color Sec ons. Parade entries will be lined up as they arrive.
Parade entries will not be judged this year and there will be no award ceremony at the conclusion of the parade.
Parade entries are to pass through City Hall without stopping. The parade has concluded at this point.
Here are a few other reminders: Have your entry decorated in parade theme, “Land That I Love”.
Identify your entry with signage at least 2’ x 3’ and extra‐large text.
Line‐up begins at 7:30 a.m. and the parade steps off promptly at 9:00 a.m. RAIN or SHINE.
Broward Boulevard will be closed at 7:15 a.m.
Car-pool parking is available at City Hall.
Keep Moving. Do not stop along parade route for any reason. Falling behind may result in removal from the parade.
