PREFACE
Serbia in figures is publication that is published by Republic Statistical Office of Serbia every year on the eve of Belgrade's Book Fair.
Goal of this publication is that the widest circle of reading public shoud be acquainted with basic data on social and economic trends in Republic of Serbia. This publication is also translated into English language in order to foreign readers, above all regular users, should have insight in quick and short way.
Statistical data for Kosovo and Metohia are not shown because UNIMIK has taken over civil administration in this region.
Users of statistical data, that want more detailed statistical data, as well as information on published publications and all activities of the Office, can obtain those data on the Internet address of Republic Office of Serbia www.statserb.sr.gov.yu.
