If you wish to use public transport, there is a regular bus service available which meets the “Caledonian Isles” ferry and offers an hourly service to and . Alternatively a minibus guided service will be available on Friday going to the south-west of the island, Saturday north and Sunday to the south-east, see the more detailed map inside this booklet. The minibus* will leave at 10.55am, picking up passengers from the 9.45 ferry in front of the Tourist Board office at the pier and take them back in time for the 19.20 return ferry to Ardrossan. The cost will be £10 per person, children under 16 £2 and under fives go free. Information from the Tourist Office or visit the Arran desk on the ferry. Studios 1and 2 are also within walking distance from the ferry terminal, while studios 28 to 35 are all fairly easily accessed as well, using the 323 bus that leaves the ferry terminal at 10.55, 11.30, 12.40, 13.40, 14.35 and 15.35.
