Accommodation
All accommodation listed below is close to the venue and/or easily accessible by public transport (see the KVB (Kölner Verkehrsbetriebe) timetable information on https://www.kvb-koeln.de). Cologne is generally very well booked throughout the year. This is especially the case during trade fairs when prices are significantly higher in almost all hotels (https://www.koelnmesse.com).
We highly recommend that you book your accommodation as soon as you know the dates for your stay in Cologne!
Special rates for GESIS are available for accommodation listed with booking codes. Please note that you will not be able to obtain these when booking via online reservation systems. To benefit from the reduced rates, please book via the e-mail addresses indicated for the accommo- dation in question.
Save the city tax! The City of Cologne charges an extra tax of 5% on the room price. Travellers who have to stay overnight for professional or business reasons are exempt from this tax if they hand in the relevant form to their hotel/pension/guesthouse before checking out. The form can be found on the GESIS Training website (see “FAQs, General Information, How do I find accommodation”) or, if you are attending a GESIS Training course, on ILIAS.
