RETIRED MEN'S ASSOCIATION OF GREENWICH, Inc. (RMA) Invites you to attend its February 29, 2012 Meeting at the

First Presbyterian Church, Lafayette Pl., Greenwich. JANE CONDON – RMA LEAPYEAR SPECIAL

In 2001, Jane was named one of Comedy Best Bets: One of 10 Standout Standups Worth Watching by Back Stage Magazine. She has also appeared on The View (ABC), The Today Show (NBC) and Girls’ Night Out (Lifetime). She also won the 2004 Ladies of Laughter Contest (1st among 108 comics). Jane is multi-talented as might be expected from a person who earned a B.A. in Political Science from Wellesley College and an Ed.M. in Children’s Television from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education. She is conversational in French and Japanese, and is a member of the New York Friars Club. Jane has been a reporter for LIFE Magazine and FORTUNE. As an author, she has written one book, A Half-Step Behind, Japanese Women Today. She has even been a creative consultant for a TV pilot produced by the industry giant, Linda Bloodworth-Thomason. Jane performs at many of the top comedy clubs in the country including Gotham Comedy Club, Carolines On , New York Comedy Club, Stand-Up NY, Punchline (San Francisco), The Improv (Washington, DC), and The Borgata (Atlantic City). In addition, she has done many special concerts (many are benefit performances) including Renaissance Weekend (entertaining President Clinton), Stop Teenage Tobacco, The Menlo School (CA), Boy Scouts of America, Parkway School, Literacy Volunteers, League of Women Voters, American Red Cross, Harvard Club of NYC, Sotheby’s Realty, Memorial Sloan Kettering, Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids and as an opening act for Roberta Flack. Comedian and mom JANE CONDON lives in Greenwich, Connecticut, but she’s still a nice person. She has two boys. Otherwise everything’s fine. Since she’s from a blue-collar town in Massachusetts, she likes to make fun of Greenwich. The Associated Press has dubbed her “an uppercrust Roseanne” and says, “Condon had the audience cackling, guffawing and in hysterics as she sliced through marriage, husband, kids, politics and other topics.” She loves to tell stories about her adventures (mostly survival tales) with her husband and kids. Condon has written for CNN, the Huffington Post, Fortune magazine and Life magazine. She is currently starring in the off-Broadway production, “Janie Condon: Raw and Unchained!” which chronicles her journey in comedy and family life. She performs at many of the top comedy clubs in the nation. All the above information is from Jane Condon and the Web.
