ABOUT THE PROJECT Over the next 10 sessions, PROJECT TASK you will be researching, To design and make a juice designing and creating your box using a key word. very own juice box.

2) Using magazines, coloured papers and materials create a real mood-board.

Using a juice carton you can buy from a store your task is to analyses its packaging. Analysis is looking at • Aesthetics (what it looks like) a product and telling us all about it. • Customer (who will buy it?) • Cost (price) • Environment (can you recycle it) • Size (how big is it?) • Safety (is it dangerous, are there any safety instructions, is it safe for vegans/ vegetarians?) • Function (what does the packaging do?) • Materials (what is it made from) Nutritional information 9 ©2020 Globeducate – Private and Confidential 9 Product disassembly • Cut open your juice box carefully. • Clean it and stick it onto an A3 sheet Analysis is looking at of paper a product and telling us all about it. • Label each part of the graphics, explaining what it is and what it shows.

• What is a net?

Task: Create a mini net using this rectangle

• Take a photo and put it into your work. • Explain what you have done and we did this test/ practice.

Write a design specification for what you are going to make using ACCESS FMT The specification is all about YOUR juice box. • Aesthetics (what will it look like, shape, colour and theme) How it will look, what materials you will use, etc. • Customer (who will buy it, why?) • Cost (price to buy it) • Tip: link it to YOUR • Environment (can you recycle it? How will the keyword customer know?) • Size (Measurements) • Safety (how will you make it safe for the customer?) • Function (what does it have to do?) • Materials (what is it made from, why?) • Testing (how will you make sure your juice box works?
