ANZAC DAY ASSEMBLY Full School Assembly, On the 15th of April we will have a special assembly at 9:15am in Waipapa for ANZAC Waipapa THURSDAY, 9.15am day. We warmly welcome you all to attend. ANZAC Assembly, 9.15am Anzac poppies are available in the school office for a donation and our student government will have them available at the start of the assembly.

SAFETY ON AOTEAROA! Next term we will be opening up a drop off zone on Aotearoa Terrace. We are hoping to have clear signs to make this process smoother. We are still looking for parents to help us especially as we all get used to using this new system so please let us know if you can help. Four positions on our Board of Trustees are now available, and I invite you to nominate 4 excellent people to fill them.

You will shortly receive a nomination form in the mail – and there are spares waiting at the Office. Please make sure that your nomination is in my hand by May 20th.

Candidate Statements and voting forms will mailed out on May 25th, when our Ballot Box will open in Reception to collect your decisions.

The election closes at 12 noon on June 3rd, but we wait 5 days while the postal votes settle and then count them all on the 9th June.

2ND CHANCE UNIFORM SHOP - HOLIDAY HOURS With the seasons changing now is the time to start pulling out the jerseys and long pants ready for the colder months, certainly after such a hot summer it will be a shock to the system! Grab-a-Bargain There is a small selection of fleece tops in varied sizes with broken zips which are a bargain at only $10.00. They will require the zip to be replaced - perhaps you have a sewer in your family who can carry out this task. Over the holiday the shop will be open on the dates listed below, might be a good idea to make sure all the winter warmer clothes still fit before it gets here! • Wednesday 27th April - 10.30am - 12.00pm • Thursday 28th April - 10.30am - 12.00pm Please keep on sending us any items that are no longer required for your family, the 2nd Chance Uniform Shop can certainly make sure another Murrays Bay Family gets use of these items and the funds raised all go towards resources for the whole school. Your support of the shop has been constant and is appreciated. Our new extending opening hours during school term has been steady so next term we will continue to open the shop on Wednesday mornings from 8.30am to 9am and Wednesday afternoons 2.45 - 3.15pm. We also need volunteers. Can you assist us perhaps once a month - only 30 minutes of your time. SCHOOL HOLIDAY UPCOMING AUDITIONS: THE RELUCTANT DRAGON!
