38 Corte Madera Parks & Recreation “Creating Community Through People, Parks and Programs.” Skill Development Program for Recreational Soccer Youth Players Activities The Corte Madera Soccer program is excited to offer our recreational players an opportunity to develop their soccer skills by working with top soccer trainers. This program will give the recreational players exposure to professional trainers, and the type of soccer development normally reserved for competitive players. This type of training is for that recreational player that desires to take their game to a higher level. There is no secret that the better a players skill level is, the better they play, and the more fun they have. That applies to the competitive and recreational player alike.

Some leagues offer development team training, but in my mind this option is much better. For one thing the quality of instruction is very high, with skilled trainers bringing the best out of each player. Additionally a player still has the benefit of playing on a recreational team with their friends. To my way of thinking this type of program offers the recreational player a better option and for a lot less cost. The Corte Madera Soccer League is moving in the direction of providing more professional training to its recreation players. This is just the first step, with other programs starting soon.

Last years program was a big success, and I anticipate that this years will be even better. Space is limited so sign up early.
