This listing is a summary of the currently planned Forward Works Programme. Much of the Forward Works Programme is still under development and will be subject to many changes as the programme is defined. This may lead to projects being added or removed from the list. 2. Please note, in some cases roads can appear more than once within the same programme. This is due to several different sections of the road being identified for a project. These may be grouped together for delivery once the process of refining the programme is advanced. 3. Projects in this listing are ordered by division; then town where the primary road section is; and then project name, which usually starts with the road name. 4. Some projects appear in more than one division, either because they include several roads or because the road spans or is immediately adjacent to more than one division. Where this is the case the projects appears in all relevant divisions. This is indicated by the number in front of the project name. A consultation statement is a statutory document of the Neighbourhood Planning process. The Regulations of 2012, Part 5 Paragraph 15 (2) define a “consultation statement” as a document that: a) Details of the persons and bodies who were consulted about the proposed neighbourhood development plan; b) Explains how they were consulted; c) Summarises the main issues and concerns raised by the persons consulted; d) Describes how these issues and concerns have been considered and, where relevant, addressed in the Neighbourhood Development Plan. 3. • Parent Handbook
Richard Hale School Parents’ Handbook September 2021 – July 2022 Richard Hale School Hale Road Hertford SG13 8EN Dear Parents, I would like to welcome you and your son to Richard Hale School for what I hope will be an enjoyable and exciting seven year experience. We know that, in a “normal year”, the transfer from primary to secondary school can be stressful for both students and parents. Clearly, this year the process has been disrupted and the boys will not have had the usual opportunities to come to the school and meet staff. We will, however, do all that we can to ensure that your son settles to school life at Richard Hale as quickly and smoothly as possible. We have now visited all of your sons at primary school and spoken to each of their teachers. We are also delighted that a very large number will be attending the Summer School in the first week of the holidays. In September, if conditions allow, there is the Parents’ Association Wine and Cheese evening, and the “Meet the Tutor” evening in October. This booklet is part of the transition process, so I hope the information contained in it will enable you and your son to become quickly familiar with daily life at Richard Hale School. The latest version can always be found on the school website. Please note that we have not made changes to all of this booklet to cover the current situation with Covid 19, as this is an ever changing situation. Much of the booklet refers to the operation of the school during “normal” times, to which we all hope to return soon.

  • Character of Area Study
Watford Character of Area Study Adopted December 2011 0B1.0 Introduction The Borough of Watford is a well established urban centre in West Hertfordshire that contains a diverse patchwork of areas reflecting different types of built form. These character areas provide the spatial framework for local neighbourhoods and reflect the multifunctional nature of the town as a location for employment, leisure, study and residential provision. Although these areas provide a network of urban form, rich in “place identity”, they remain at risk of degradation from the pressures of new development. There is therefore a need to identify the Borough’s existing character areas and to provide a reference for guiding contextually responsive development that reinforces local character. 2.0 Urban Conservation Strategy 2.1 The need for a comprehensive study identifying character areas within the Borough was set out in the Council’s Urban Conservation Strategy, as detailed in the Watford District Plan 2000 (adopted 2003). The Urban Conservation Strategy sets out to deliver a package of different documents covering the various heritage assets within the town, including: conservation areas, Statutory Listed Buildings, Locally Listed Buildings and archaeology. The Character of the Area Study provides an overarching resource on urban form for the whole Borough and not just areas or buildings that are designated as heritage assets and referred to in the District Plan and the Urban Conservation Strategy. 2.2 The Watford District Plan 2000 and the related Supplementary Planning Guidance Note 28 (adopted 2003) includes information on Historic Environment Character Zones in Watford. This map based resource provides general information on the historical character zones that exist within the Borough and their archaeological potential.
