Practical training for students as follows:
Train students to speak and communicate with patient. Train students on how to follow the methods of infection control (such as how to wash hands before and after any action , wear gloves, gown and mask) Training on how to prepare and equip instruments before sterilized and then put it into the autoclave Training on how to disinfect noncritical instruments such as thermometer, stethoscope and blood pressure cuff. Training on how to measure vital signs, recording and note any changes Training on how to apply different kinds of injection Training on how to apply the different kinds of medicine Training on how to draw blood sample and random blood sugar Training on how to change wound dressing Training on how to apply Cannulationand change plaster of cannula Training on how to work a thorough physical examination of the patient as follows: Inspect the head (eye, mouth, ear, and nose) Check the chest area from the front and back tonote abnormalities or defects, as well as observe chest movement during breathing and note any strange sound of ronchi,wheeze or crackles as well as hear the sound of epical pulse and note that there is no deviation from the normal examine the abdominal area using nine or four rules Inspect the lower part and note any abnormalities such as edema and infections Examination of the skin changes in texture or shape or color Training students on how to perform an assessment sheet for patient, applying Nanda nursing diagnosis and the development of the goals so that determine which nursing care will be needed to achieve those goals and help the patient to pass these problems and prevent the development of complications.
