NEXT UP No. 1 LSU Ready to Begin Home Stand Against Missouri For the first time in nearly a month LSU will compete in the friendly confines of the Maravich Center when the Tigers take on Missouri at 7 p.m. CT Friday. LSU will face Missouri as the No. 1 team in the nation, the first time in nine seasons LSU has earned the top spot in the national rankings. The last time LSU was No. 1 was March 14, 2005. It is only the third time LSU has been ranked in the top spot - the first time was Feb. 21, 2005. LSU also ranks No. 1 as a team on vault and floor, and the Tigers are No. 3 on beam and No. 5 on bars. For the first time in school history, LSU has three gymnasts ranked No. 1 nationally in a category: Rheagan Courville is No. 1 in the all-around, Sarie Morrison is No. 1 on bars and Jessie Jordan is No. 1 on beam. Lloimincia Hall is No. 2 on floor, and Courville is right behind Jordan at No. 2 on beam. The Tigers are coming off a 197.625 at Florida that ranks as the fourth-highest road score in the nation this year, the highest team score in a dual meet against Florida, and the ninth-highest score in school history. Against Missouri, LSU will try to increase two streaks: 1) five consecutive home meets with a 197 score and 2) an undefeated home record. LSU is 3-0 this season at home. A victory against Missouri would mark win No. 250 all-time inside the Maravich Center. Currently, LSU is 249-55-3 (.816) entering Friday’s meet. LSU also holds a perfect 11-0 home record against Missouri.
