Chris is a landscape and seascape photographer specialising in images of what he believes to be one of the most beautiful areas in Britain, the North East of England.

To Chris, the two key ingredients of photography are light and time. Light can transform the mundane into the exotic and is the trickiest part of photography, as it is down to nature you have no control over it, patience is the only tool that can be used. Time on the other hand is a variable controlled by the photographer. An exposure can be anything from a fraction of a second to several minutes. 60 Heatherslaw Cornmill is a restored and fully operational 19thC watermill which makes flours by traditional methods, using locally grown wheat.
