Z-4 Juve & Camps Cava Gran Reserva 2016 Penedes (Spain) $49 Deep, intense and elegant, initially it evokes notes of ripe white fruit. Its complexity gradually increases and the aromas typical of long ageing then appear. Hints of toast and a certain citrus background complete its distinguished aroma. Z-6 Basandere Sparkling Cider 2016 Jaxu (France) $39 A blend of 19 estate-grown, heirloom varietals of apples. A finer and slighty sweeter take on the traditional Basque cider. Perfect after a few years of aging with complex aromatics and pronounced tannins. Keep in mind, this is no Angry Orchard Cider. Its highly acidic, which makes it a hearty cider. Apple pie, fresh flowers baking spice, red apples, and dried herbs, starts with a burst of flavor followed by natural bubbles that was the palate dry.

H-2 Newsom 2016 Texas High Plains (Texas) $129 This Red Blend was produced and bottled in partnership with Llano Estacado Winery/ This Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, Tempranillo, Cabernet Franc blend is from some of their oldest vines. A very complex red that is very fruit forward with a hint of spice.

E-15 Newsom Cabernet Franc 2016 Texas High Plains (Texas) $109 This Cabernet Franc was produced and bottled in partnership with Bending Branch . Made in 100% neutral oak, it offers a full bodied and smooth style Cabernet Franc, much different different than your typical tannic Cabernet Franc.

G-2 Pedernales Texas GSM Melange 2016 Texas Hill Country (Texas) $89 Medium in body, this wine provides aromatics of dried currants and strawberries with more earthy bramble, flint, and peppery notes. Dried strawberries and cherries follow on the palate combined with dried green herbs and cedar. E-13 Pedernales Texas Tempranillo 2016 Texas Hill Country (Texas) $59 Sold out at the vineyard, this 2016 Tempranillo won a Silver Medal at the 2019 TEXSOM international Wine Awards. Lighter-bodied and shows notes of red cherry, leather, spice and tobacco on the nose. Oak notes are also quite expressive on this wine with hints of vanilla, clove, and coconut. Tart cherry, thyme and sage are prominent on the palate and are completed by soft tannins.

Italian Reds J-5 Quorum Hastae D’Asti (93pts) 2001 Piemonte DOC (Italy) $249 This wine is full-bodied, with notes of tobacco, liquorice, & black cherries. The finish is well structured & lush. There is a rich acidity, characteristic of Barbera wine, but the acid is balanced by the elegant, soft tannins. Excellent aging potential. This wine explodes out of the glass with a huge nose of tar, spices, smoke, & sweet vanilla aromas.

D-1 Argiolas Turriga (90pts) 2008 Isola Dei Nuraghi IGT (Sardinia) $179 On the nose, black cherries & wild blueberries. Herbal notes of thyme & a subtle hint of eucalyptus & wood forest tones. On the palate, the combination of the woody forest floor, with the herbal tones taking first place. The fruits come into play but ever so mildly, just the cherries & a slight violet introduction, then a strong dark chocolate & followed with a punch of pepper. Leather comes into the show for a moment. Wonderous dry long tannins.

L-3 La Braccesca Bramasole Syrah (92pts) 2008 Cortona (Tuscany) $119 This is opulent and rich, with a thick, velvety texture and pretty aromas of blackberry, chocolate, leather & freshly milled white pepper.

A-12 Romililly (91pts) 2013 Russian River Valley (California) $119 This wine shows a medium ruby color, leaning towards red. The nose is filled with toasted cherry, wet asphalt, and sandalwood. The palate boasts bright red fruits and earth, bracketed by medium acidity and fine velvety tannin, which leads to a long finish of toasty oak and fruit.

C-11 Elouan Oregon Reserve Klamath’s Kettle 2017 Willamette (Oregon) $79 This Oregon reserve pinot noir shows with beautiful color, excellent depth, solid structure, and firm acidity. Lively notes of raspberry, cranberry, vanilla, and red cherry with hints of dry herbs. Rich and finessed, this Oregon pinot noir melds both ripe fruit flavors of cranberry, strawberry, and black fruit flavors of plum and currants. Exceptionally smooth tannins with a lingering finish.

E-10 Elouan Oregon Reserve Missoulan Wash 2017 Willamette (Oregon) $79 “Missoulan Wash” refers to the Ice Age era floods that exposed volcanic and sedimentary soil in Oregon’s northwest corner. Deep magenta. Focused and complex with intense and lively aromas of strawberry, blackberry, and spice. L-1 Sivas-Sonoma Old Vine (90pts) 2014 Sonoma (California) $59 A totally satisfying wine in its bringing together of velvety texture and flavors of pepper steak, juicy red berry and sultry cinnamon. Aged in American oak, it offers length and body in a ripe, rich package.

Merlot A-10 Emmolo Merlot (91pts) 2015 Napa Valley (California) $139 This wine is not your average Merlot. You’ll be excited to know that this wine is crafted by Jennifer Wagner, daughter of Chuck Wagner, the founder of Caymus Vineyards. It is heavier and opens with a mild ripe blackberry bouquet with hints of coffee. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, rich and extracted. The flavor profile is an ultra-ripe blackberry with notes of licorice, coffee and vanilla oak with a hint of boysenberry. The finish is dry and its flavors and big tannins are quite lengthy.

A-13 Meeker Merlot Handprint Collection 2013 Sonoma (California) $109 This dark ruby colored Merlot is a bit bigger than your typical Merlot. It opens with an attractive mild plum and gentle black raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a mineral infused black raspberry with notes of plum and old oak.

B-1 Tate Merlot Joan Ellen Vineyard 2011 St Helena (California) $89 Layers of cherry, boysenberry, cassis & clove are caressed with vanilla nuances from barrel aging. Ripe, supple tannins structure the wine & support the lush flavors. The long, fruity finish, laced with autumn spices, ends with a lively cranberry zing.

H-1 Chelsea Goldschmidt Merlot 2017 Alexander Valley (California) $59 This is a fine wine, reflective of the vintage's generosity & approachable nature, giving off flavors of vanilla, cherry & currant alongside a sanguine, gamey character & smoky full-bodied ripeness.

Malbec E-5 Red Schooner Voyage 8 Malbec 2018 Fairfield (California) $139 Love Caymus? They’ve done it again! This Malbec is made from grapes grown in the Andes Mountains, shipped chilled to Napa Valley and produced with the same techniques as the Caymus Cabernet. Falling outside standard labeling rules, it does not include a vintage date but is known by the voyage from which it traveled (Voyage 8 is the 2018 vintage). Offering scents of ripe plums and cherries, this wine is powerful and supple, with flavors of French oak and soft tannins.

F-1 Belasco de Baquedano Swinto Malbec 2013 Mendoza (Argentina) $89 Made from 100-year old vines in Lunan de Cuyo area of Argentina, this wine is enhanced by malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels and aged for 18 months. Dark, fruity, and minerally on the nose, with a luscious palate of rip red stone fruits and jams. Dense and unfiltered.

B-17 Anko Flor De Cardon Malbec (92pts) 2014 Salta (Argentina) $75 Unlike the traditional, heavy, sweet style of Salta Malbec, this transmits the high, sunny plains of this northern region in a bright, tense red. From vines planted in 2007 in a very stony soil in the Tolombón area, this shows firm acidity that keeps the red berry and sour cherry notes fresh and vibrant.

Meritage, Blends, & Other Reds Floor3 Montes Outer Limits Red Blend (91pts) 2010 Colchagua Valley (Chile) $129 This wine has a generous bright ruby red color. The aroma suggests blackberries, dry fig, light cinnamon & a spiciness given by the light toast of French barrels. A creative blend of 50% Carignan, 30% Grenache, & 20% Mourvedre

I-11 Caymus-Suisun Grand Petite Sirah (93pts) 2017 Suisan Valley (California) $119 Dark and plush, this combines structure with polish, offering notes of ripe blackberry, dark chocolate, grilled herb and toasty spice that linger toward refined tannins.

E-3 Austin Hope Mourvedre 2015 Paso Robles (California) $119 A nose of prunes, raisin cake and dusty earth with hints of cinnamon stick and dark chocolate. Full-bodied, concentrated and packed with dried berries and exotic spice notions, it offers a chewy frame and just enough freshness, finishing long.

D-5 Austin Hope Mourvedre-Syrah 2015 Paso Robles (California) $119 Ripe and polished, with notes of creme de cassis, toasted bread, spice and vanilla, it shows more and more meaty, roasted herb and licorice characteristic with time in the glass. C-17 The Prisoner Red Blend (90pts) 2019 Oakville (California) $99 Since its arrival into the marketplace in 2000, this wine became an instant star. The 2019 vintage is the wine’s best effort to date, and it signals its long journey to become the wine that everyone can wrap their palate around. Bold, black fruit, savory spices, and oak.

J-1 Chateau Grand Bouchon Bordeaux 2012 Medoc (France) $75 Born from an association between Hubert de Boüard (Angélus, 1er grand cru classé de St-Émilion) and the Yvon Mau négoce business, here is a classic left-bank blend dominated by Merlot. Notes of cassis, cherry, raspberry and undergrowth, joined by a slight woody note, courtesy of the oak involved.

F-4 Arrels de Clos Pissarra 2013 Montsant (Spain) $69 Medium plus nose shows fresh style, white pepper, dried cherry, raspberry, potpourri, light earth or forest feel. Palate quite expressive, dried fruit complexities, raspberry, dried cherry, nice spice of pink peppercorn. Medium tannins give it surprising strength, acidity is nice, medium plus alcohol.

M-2 Halter Ranch Synthesis (91pts) 2017 Paso Robles (California) $69 Synthesis is an approachable Cabernet Sauvignon blend that has aromas of both red and black fruits and cassis, followed by flavors of black cherry and plums. Smooth and approachable, this wine is great on its own but pairs with virtually everything 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Petite Sirah

Very deep garnet-purple in color, it comes strutting out of the glass with confident, classic cassis, warm plums and cedar chest notes with touches of pencil lead, bouquet garni and tilled soil plus a waft of cloves. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is laden with bags of black fruit and spicy sparks, framed by firm, grainy tannins and seamless freshness, finishing on a lingering earthy note.

C-4 Post Parade Stretch Drive (95pts) 2014 Napa (California) $179 This wine oozes with provocative dark berries laced with crushed rock, cocoa and baking spices. It’s made by Thomas Rivers Brown, whom you may recognize from Schrader, Revana, GTS, Maybach, Gemstone and Outpost. Brown made history as the first American winemaker to receive a perfect 100 Point score from the Wine Spectator, and has had more than a dozen 100 Point wines in his career.

D-17 Cooper & Thief 2015 Napa Valley (California) $109 Aged for six months in High West Rye Whiskey Barrels, this rich wine has warm, dark fruit aromas, a lush mouthfeel, & supple tannins touched by hints of toasted rye spice. Complex on the palate & finishes with a smooth structure reminiscent of a fine rye whiskey.
