an interesting concept. The film never fully takes advantage of this concept in capturing the nostalgia involved with this game, but it does give this slasher something to set itself apart from other films of it's era. However what really stands out about this film, after all these years, is that is serves as kind of a . time capsule of the 80's. The color scheme and faded look of the film serve as reminders of an era near and dear to many horror fan's hearts. The fashions, the big hair, the trends, the various settings that the film takes place in, how Also Check those settings are furnished, the tacky music score, the sight of Backstreet Boy member A.J. McLean in an early appearance, they all bring back memories of another time another place. No matter how hard any director today tries at capturing the sense of the 80's, they are never gonna be fully successful, because the 80's was such a unique period in time and to capture that is next to impossible. Well, we at least got films like this that can take us back in time. Can this film be recommended on it's own merits in terms of technical ability? No. However, if looking for something to fit the bill for an 80's night or you're looking for buckets of gore (with some of the scenes of violence rather effective at times), then this certainly fits it to a tee. under a Creative Commons Attribution States License
