But Paul Rudd proved he's also got a heart of gold as he hosted his second annual All-Star Bowling Benefit for children who stutter in New York, on Monday. The 44-year-old actor could be seen throughout the fund raising event performing various comedic antics while bowling at the lanes. Gearing up: Paul Rudd hosted his second annual All-Star Bowling Benefit for children who stutter in New York, on Monday The I Love You, Man star taught some of the fundamentals of the sport to the children gathered for the event. But when it came his turn to demonstrate his bowling prowess it appeared he may have needed some practise in the art. Getting a rise: The 44-year-old actor looked to have missed his mark during the event The set up: Rudd got his form down before letting loose But the antics also seemed to have been choreographed to entertain the youngsters, who the star was intent upon helping. • Jessica Lange Regis Dialogue Formatted
Jessica Lange Regis Dialogue with Molly Haskell, 1997 Bruce Jenkins: Let me say that these dialogues have for the better part of this decade focused on that part of cinema devoted to narrative or dramatic filmmaking, and we've had evenings with actors, directors, cinematographers, and I would say really especially with those performers that we identify with the cutting edge of narrative filmmaking. In describing tonight's guest, Molly Haskell spoke of a creative artist who not only did a sizeable number of important projects but more importantly, did the projects that she herself wanted to see made. The same I think can be said about Molly Haskell. She began in the 1960s working in New York for the French Film Office at that point where the French New Wave needed a promoter and a writer and a translator. She eventually wrote the landmark book From Reverence to Rape on women in cinema from 1973 and republished in 1987, and did sizable stints as the film reviewer for Vogue magazine, The Village Voice, New York magazine, New York Observer, and more recently, for On the Issues. Her most recent book, Holding My Own in No Man's Land, contains her last two decades' worth of writing. I'm please to say it's in the Walker bookstore, as well. Our other guest tonight needs no introduction here in the Twin Cities nor in Cloquet, Minnesota, nor would I say anyplace in the world that motion pictures are watched and cherished. She's an internationally recognized star, but she's really a unique star.

'2009 MTV Movie Awards' Honors Ben Stiller With 'MTV Generation Award' Premiering LIVE Sunday, May 31, 2009 at 9pm ET/8pm CT From The Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, CA SANTA MONICA, Calif., May 22 -- The 2009 MTV Movie Awards pays tribute to Ben Stiller with the coveted "MTV Generation Award" for his amazing contribution to Hollywood and for entertaining the MTV audience for years. From generation to generation, Ben Stiller has kept fans rolling with laughter since bursting onto the scene in Reality Bites and his early film roles and cult classics such as There's Something About Mary, Meet the Parents, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, Tropic Thunder and now this summer's eagerly anticipated Night at the Museum: Battle at the Smithsonian in theaters May 22, 2009. The "MTV Generation Award" is the MTV Movie Awards' highest honor, acknowledging an actor who has captured the attention of the MTV audience throughout his or her career. Past recipients include Adam Sandler, Mike Myers, Tom Cruise and Jim Carrey. Hosted by Andy Samberg, the 2009 MTV Movie Awards will be broadcast LIVE from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, CA on Sunday, May 31st at 9p.m. ET/8p.m. CT. "From The Royal Tenenbaums to Zoolander, Ben is a comedic chameleon, able to make the leap between drama and full-out comedy while maintaining his own unique brand of subversive humor," said Van Toffler, President of MTV Networks Music/Logo/Film Group. "That versatility and talent has earned him legions of devoted fans over the years which makes him a perfect recipient for the 'MTV Generation Award.' Whether it's fighting a monkey in a museum or licking a decapitated head, nothing is ever off-limits for him and that's the type of warped creative vision and commitment MTV loves to reward." "I am honored to be getting the 'Generation Award,'" said Ben Stiller.
