2016 Recreation Funding
The Recreation Funding Unit invests in non-profit based organizations that support equal access to the basics through recreation programming in the City of Ottawa. Types of funding include:
. Recreation Renewable Funding Provides on-going funding to Community Associations and Recreation groups in the delivery of recreational programs.

Civic Events Funding Program
The Civic Events Funding program provides an opportunity for local non-profit organizations to deliver a civic event in a specific geographic district in Ottawa that is free for residents to attend. These one-to two day events are linked to and celebrate a civic/statutory holiday and encompass a broad range of activities and family entertainment.

Commemorative Events Funding Program
In 2006, the City of Ottawa established a Remembrance Day Fund to support Royal Canadian Legion Branches to conduct annual Remembrance Day ceremonies on behalf of the City of Ottawa and its citizens. These ceremonies honour the sacrifices made by Canadian Armed Forces personnel. The following Royal Canadian Legion Branches are eligible for a reimbursement up to $1,000 each.
