n Framework ! B The products elaborated in the framework of current mapping in non-rush mode activation are realised to the best of our ability, within a very short time frame during a crisis, optimising the available data and information. All geographic information has limitations due to scale, resolution, date and interpretation of the original data sources. The products are compliant ! B with the GIO-EMS non-rush Product Portfolio specifications. ú Map Production

The present map shows basic topographic features such as Transportation Network, ú Hydrography, Population (built-up areas and building footprints), PoI´s, Industry, Utilities, Toponyms and Administrative Boundaries, for the urban areas of Kathmandu and Bhaktapur districts. It includes other relevant information for crisis management (3W). These basic topographic features are derived by means of visual thematic interpretation of pan-sharpened Pleiades imagery of 03/11/2013. Building footprints have been obtained by mean of OBIA methodologies. The estimated geometric accuracy of the image is 4.5 m CE90 and the geometric accuracy of the vector data complies with JRC requirements for 1:10,000 cartography, as it is based on visual interpretation of recognisable items on very high resolution optical imagery. Map produced by Indra Sistemas S.A and Gisat s.r.o. under contract 257228 with the European Commission. All products are © of the European Commission.
