GLI highlights Dopo aver colto il secondo successo del proprio Europeo contro la Slovacchia (68-61), stasera le Azzurre affrontano alle ore 20.30 l’Ungheria (diretta SkySport2HD) nello spa- reggio che vale un posto tra le prime otto squadre dell’Euro- Basket Women 2017. In caso di passaggio ai quarti di finale, l’Italia affronterebbe il Belgio.

Contro la Slovacchia le migliori marcatrici Azzurre sono state Cecilia Zandalasini e Giorgia Sottana con 15 punti, in doppia cifra anche Francesca Dotto (11).

“Faceva molto caldo stasera - ha commentato Andrea Ca- pobianco a fine partita - ma le ragazze hanno giocato con la giusta aggressività, tenendo il campo per 40 minuti con personalità. Abbiamo commesso qualche errore di troppo ma l’importante era vincere e metterci alle spalle quanto ac- caduto qualche giorno fa, con l’infortunio di Macchi e la sua partenza per l’Italia. Coach Svitek ama utilizzare rotazioni molto ampie, il talento è distribuito e ognuna può fare male. Sotto canestro svettano i 208 centimetri di Hatar, centro magiaro che viaggia a 7.7 punti e 5.3 rimbalzi di media.

L’Italia non potrà schierare Chicca Macchi, rientrata in Italia due giorni fa e già operata per la riduzione della frattura alla mandibola rimediata nel corso della partita con la Turchia. Come con la Slovacchia, anche con l’Ungheria porterà in campo la maglia numero 29 per far partecipare idealmente alla partita anche la stella di Schio costretta a chiudere anzitempo l’EuroBasket Women.
