The Peacocks will head to Sioux Falls, S.D. to take on the Augustana Vikings on 11/15 Quincy W, 81-59 Friday, Jan. 19 at 8 p.m. before traveling to Wayne, Neb. to match up with the Wayne State Wildcats on Saturday, Jan. 20 at 6 p.m. Northwest Missouri State Tournament Maryville, Mo. PEACOCK STORYLINES... 11/17 Truman State W, 110-92 NSIC NORTH SPLIT: Last weekend in Fayette, the Peacocks split a pair of games 11/18 Metro State W, 68-64 against NSIC North division competition. UIU put together their best shooting effort of the season (58.8%) against St. Cloud State Friday night in an 84-74 11/25 *Winona State L, 90-80 victory, but then hit the other end of the spectrum in the loss to Minnesota 12/1 *Southwest Minnesota State L, 93-86 Duluth on Saturday. Upper Iowa shot just 38% from the floor in a 72-69 loss to UMD; the shooting percentage was the worst against NSIC competition this 12/2 *Sioux Falls L, 90-78 season for UIU. 12/8 *Concordia-St. Paul W, 85-75 12/9 *Minnesota State L, 86-83 CAREER NIGHTS: In the win over St. Cloud State, two Peacocks put together career nights in scoring. Freshman Joe Smoldt scored 26 points on 8-14 12/16 *Winona State L, 69-62 shooting from the field, including 6-11 from the three-point line. The Reinbeck, 12/19 Bethany Lutheran W, 94-89 Iowa native tallied his first 20-point effort of his young career, and has now 12/30 *Bemidji State W, 84-75 scored in double-figures in three straight games (14 vs. UMD Saturday). Smoldt 12/31 *Minnesota Crookston L, 98-79 has scored at least 10 points in 16 of the 21 games this season. Senior Mitch Eighme also put together a career night against SCSU, tallying 16 points on 1/5 *Sioux Falls L, 77-72 6-9 from the field.
